The saucepan looks sturdy. Made of thick metals. Heavy. Looks to be well made. But I boiled water for 45 minutes, never letting the pan dry or refilling with meaningful different temperature water. Did not boiled salty water by itself (without anything in the pan, but water).
But even when being careful, the bottom inside of the pan resulted with some white colored specks. Looks like It got lightly pitted. Like the shiny material changed to dull white. I cannot return it to the original finish. This is the properties of a not quality surface. Seems like the manufacturer selected a material that is not proper for the application.

I was blown away by this pan. I recently renovated my kitchen to include an induction cooktop. I had all clad pots and pans. None of the pots worked. Not only is this pot completely compatible with induction, but it is really comparable with an all-clad level cookware. It's heavy duty. Handle is riveted (not spot welded). Has excellent finish. The lid is fine. I'm not sure why others complained. I only wish these guys made 16 quart stock pots. In terms of value, given the cost, this is probably the best pot I ever bought.
Goes well with the duxtop professional cookware set. Great non-coated stainless pot.

The lid of this pot is solid stainless and not glass like the rest of the set. It also does not have a weep hole in the lid. But it has a mirror stainless finish and is the perfect size for side dishes for our family of four. We may return to buy another, it is the most popular pot in our set.
After a couple weeks, we are very pleased with it and the duxtop brand.
Replaced our beat up, scorched, dented, twenty year old revere ware set.
