Third year using these traps
AliceAugust 11, 2017
It was a miracle. I had 2 types of ants, not sure what kinds. I put out about a dozen traps in a 15'X30' kitchen/dining/sunroom. I used tape to attach them inside the garbage cans, set them in corners, under the edge of the kitchen counter and put one under the stove. The medium size ants were gone in a couple of days, the little ones in 2 weeks. I never saw any ants go in the traps, they all seemed to walk around them. Perhaps just a few random ants explored the traps and that was enough. This is my third year using these traps.
Loved it

Definitely worth the money!
My infestation was under my house so they were coming up to eat. I set out 6 of the dishes while I went out of town for 2 days and haven't seen one ant since. Today I put one between my back and screen doors, looked at it an hour later and there was a ton in ants on it. I'm excited to get rid of themðŸ'ŒðŸ¼
We did more research and found out that was the worst thing we could have done
Sandra RussellJune 20, 2017
Ants have been undermining our patio for 2 years. We told by a "professional" to just spray with a pesticide. That didn't work. We did more research and found out that was the worst thing we could have done. New ant hills just kept popping up all over the patio. We tried borax and sugar, instant grits and Equal and then cornmeal, with no real results. The amount of sand they brought up everyday was frightening. We had gone to a lot of trouble to replace the original sand with the polymeric sand and the ants were rapidly destroying our work. I had decided that Advion was next if the cornmeal didn't get rid of them. I put 3 traps on the patio, next to the house because all of the rain has been keeping the ants in the dry areas under our wide eaves. At first it there was a noticeable slow down, but still new work. Then, exactly a week later, hundreds of dead and dying ants on the stones. I never saw the ants show any interest in the traps but there was sand inside them. So give the traps a chance to work.
Seems to work pretty good

These baits are nice and compact, easy to use and self contained. They worked well for an anthill in the yard with some brown looking ants. I put the bait out there and they were all over it. As for tiny ants indoors... well, the baits "seem" to work but I'm not 100% sure. I put a couple in the kitchen because we started seeing tiny black ants around the sink. I never saw any ants go near the bait, let alone inside it, but after a few days they disappeared. So I think the baits worked for the little black ants but they may have just left on their own because I kept killing them. I'm just not sure. Overall, this seems like a good product and the price is right for the resealable bulk bag.
More of a repellent than a bait trap...but works perfectly.

For my recent experience this product acts more as a repellent than a bait. I placed 1 in each corner of the bathroom and kitchen. Within hours, the ants disappeared and have not returned since - 3 days later. There isn't one ant in the bait area. It seems to work more as a repellent than a bait trap. No distinguishable odor. Odd?
