Unlike some folks, I didn't find these bait stations hard to open with the provided key. The openings are large enough to accommodate rodents but too small for pets, squirrels etc. Comes with a single key for the six pack of bait stations, and plenty of rods for attaching bait (I used Tomcat blocks).

I bought this six-pack of bait stations for a small farm with sheds, a barn, and the crawlspace under my house in 2019. They are still going strong in 2023. Their hinges and latching mechanism have held-up through semi-annual refills of poison with no breakage. I have only two minor concerns. First, since the pack only includes one key, don't lose it. Second, the vertical rods that are essential to hold the bait can fall out. Be sure to push the rods down into their holes before you invert the tray to dump-out any debris, otherwise you may dump a rod or two and be able to hold less bait securely when refilling. Since these concerns are minor, this bulk-pack of USA-made bait stations definitely deserve at least a 4-star rating; maybe even 5.

This is the type of bait enclosure that the local Vector control uses. The are sturdy and made well. They can also be used with a Bell labs T-rex trap instead of bait. No more scurrying of little feet in the attic. And only the rodents can get to the bait. Here in California we have to use a bait the won't kill an animal that eats a poisoned rodent. It is a good product, no dead critters lying around and it is easy to maintain these traps.

I've now bought a dozen of these. Very sturdy and can accommodate rats if needed but will also work with mice. I recommend buying professional grade poison for these to get the biggest bang for your buck. They seem like they will last forever.
