added ingredient caused me to be constipated, went back to soymilk products with no added ingredients

I like the taste of the silk organic soymilk and the smoothness of the product, but it has added ingredients that were problematic for me and I had to quit using this product for that reason. I believe that it was the gellan additive in the product that caused me to be constipated, but cannot be sure if that particular additive was the problem. I do know that when I went back to using another soymilk made with only organic soybeans and water, that my constipation ceased, so do strongly believe that this additive is problematic for me and will not purchase products with this ingredient anymore.
Tasted spoiled, but within expiration date...

I had been getting the Almond milk quite regularly thru Amazon until I got a 6 pack that tasted spoiled... yuck... the expiration date was still 3 months in the future, but every one of the 6 pack cartons that I tasted was bad... if I ever do order again I will taste test every carton before I add to cooking recipes... yuck, I had been adding these to my daily oatmeal without taste testing and it makes me sick just to think we'd been drinking spoiled crap.

What can I say? I love this stuff and I know that real milk is intended for baby cows, not humans.
I use it in coffee, chai tea lattes, cereal... everything where normal milk would usually be used! I'm vegan so this is one of those items that I use consistently so it pays to just buy it in bulk and have it delivered to my door. I've tried many other brands of almond milk but I prefer the Silk flavor. I also like the convenience of the smaller containers. That way you don't have to open a huge container if you won't use it all within 10 days.

Since these beverages are difficult to find in stores, I decided to utilize Amazon since my purchases of this beverage are consistent. The beverages themselves arrive neatly packaged in cartons and are very easy to access if you are running late for work or school. The taste of the beverages is pleasing and is not too sweet or bitter so it does not produce any aftertaste whatsoever. I usually drink these to refuel after physical activity and they suppress hunger pangs for junk food. I also pour these drinks into coffee which is an excellent alternative to dairy.

This is just what you would expect. It is the brand name, shelf stable milk. I wanted to buy some milk for back up when it's not convenient to get to the store and I really need milk in the morning before work. This price fluctuates a lot, so I was able to get it at a good time and I wouldn't buy it if it was on the expensive side. I also brought some of this for my elderly mother, so she can always have milk on the shelf, because sometimes she can't get to the store. As far as carton milk and "fake milk", it tastes pretty good, "silk" like they call it.
