I just received this grinder today, I have not used it yet on my dog.
The directions are horrible. I am fairly mechanical (I used to work on my classic car) and finally figured out TWO challenges with this grinder.
RESOLUTIONS:
1) To put drum on narrow flexible handle. Insert the L shaped allen wrench into the hole in the side of the narrow handle, unscrew the collet, insert bit and tighten while you have the allen wrench in the hole in side.
2) The sanding bands are loose on drum? RESOLUTION: There is a small phillips screw at the top of the rubber drum, use a small phillips screw driver and tighten. Wha-la! This somehow expands the rubber drum and then the band fits snuggly!
Why manufacturers do not provide clear instructions for a tool like this? Master Tools, take note!

I have been grooming for 13 years professionally. I have used several different styles of nail grinders. This is my favorite. It is surprisingly light weight. Easy to use. Has a great arm that attaches easily to my table. I will say the initial set up was difficult just to put everything together. I am so happy with this grinder though. Great quality. Not loud.
