There are a lot of good things about this protein powder

There are a lot of good things about this protein powder, and some not so good things. Let's start with the good things. It comes mixed with 2.5g of creatine per scoop, so you don't have to spend extra money on creatine supplements or add it separately each time you make a shake. It also has a decent amount of protein, at 30g a scoop. But that's all stuff you can find on the label. In actual use, I used a scoop 30-45 minutes before workouts, and a scoop immediately after coming home from the gym. I found no significant difference in workout performance or anything in the time I used it, which is a good thing, as I've used another highly rated powder for about a year and it's worked well for me. This didn't reduce my performance or progress so I can say I stand behind this product. It isn't perfect, however. I know it might sound trivial, but the jar is pretty poorly designed. It's basically covered entirely with loosely wrapped plastic, and once you rip the top part off (to access the lid) you are left with a wrapping that turns independently of the jar. It makes opening it slightly more difficult, and though this isn't important it seems like an unnecessarily poor design. I also found the taste to be less than satisfactory. Sure, it is triple chocolate, but I found that like with most other protein supplements, it's best to just hold your breath and avoid tasting anything until you've rinsed out the last bit of the shake from your mouth. It tastes better than my regular protein in the sense that it has a less disturbing aftertaste but it is still pretty bad. Overall it's a good product and I'd recommend it.

Definitely better macro breakdown than the brand's regular whey so I'm loving that. Not a super impressive taste but I'm hard to impress there, would like to see natural sweeteners as usual, but with that being said it isn't bad! [Also, PSA regarding the populace of negative reviews due to apparently increased cholesterol content recently - ????? If you're still under the impression dietary cholesterol increases blood cholesterol I'm surprised you have the wherewithall to be supplementing your protein at all.]
Advertising over quality

Most reviews here talk about the taste. I think that comes in a distance 2nd from quality and performance. This product is the elite series and has pictures of professional athletes. The marketing here is that you could be as a professional. The problem here. 1. Its Whey isolate. While it may Whey Isolate may be better than a normal whey, this is not a blended protein. Blended protein has been see to be much more effective than whey alone. One study showed an increase of 2kg from whey isolate and 8kg from whey and casein on a 1rm bench. 2. Six Star emphasizes 3g carbs. The problem; current literate states that 36-48g of carbs are more beneficial that BCAAs alone. This product has no scientific base to it. I would not recommend this product.
Great protein for a good price.

i was skeptical at first to buy protein at Walmart. But. ...... price wise it is affordable. It's about 70% protein. Not terrible and some companies have 50% or less. Taste is really good and texture is too. Mixes perfect with out a blender. No upset stomach or gassy feeling from it either. I can drink it and train right away. And use it after workout for a quick protein source. Vanilla is my favorite. No weird flavor either. It's a lean taste. Try some.
so the taste was amazing! For some reason

I mixed my product with chocolate milk, so the taste was amazing! For some reason, it didn't mix too well, which is why I gave it 4 stars. It could be from the milk, but I can't mix with plain milk or water, I'm too sensitive to the taste. I'm a server and I get home late, so this is the perfect late night meal/snack. I wake up and I feel energized and refreshed. I would buy this product again and I would recommend it to a friend.
