Shipping time was pretty long, but figured it was worth the wait in savings. As a professional technician a telescopic magnet is a mandatory tool that is always in my pocket. Instead of spending twice as much for one off the tool truck I thought I'd give this a try. Unfortunately the magnet has fallen off a couple of times. The last time it fell off where I couln't retrieve it. So now I have a telescopic nothing. Useless. At least the tool trucks give you a lifetime warranty for their ridiculous prices.

This is one of those tools that you don't need until you really need it. This has made many car repairs easier, especially when I drop a small fastener or part into some impossible to reach spot. If yo don't have on of these, you need one.

These things are great for at work. I typically use the larger version of this but often there will be a hole too small. It works good but this is my 5th one first of this brand though. I had a few tektons and a mac tool that booth broke very easily. With how small they are the last rung of the telescoping shaft is extremely fragile and will easily bend and not even that the magnet will just come out of it and ur screwed! Now this perticular one is still working but i am not holding my breath. I typically get 20 uses of them before they fail. But i need em for my job and there cheap.
Not good for crafters.

GThis tool comes with a sheath around the magnet that keeps the sides of the magnet from attracting things. The sheath also creates a small lip around the bottom of the magnet. The tool must be held perpendicular to and pressed against the object to be picked up. This renders the tool almost useless for finding and picking up needles and other small items from carpeting.
