Handy, but not as handy as you might think ...

Handy, but not as handy as you might think. when you install the cord onto the hanger you need to put about a half twist in each coil to get it to lay flat. Then when you pull it off it has the twist in it. Then you need to straighten it to reinstall it. If there is an easier way to use it, I haven't found it. Nevertheless, I think it is a neat way to store a long cord for the edger's use. I use 3-#12 to avoid voltage loss and to be able to use it to power my power saw when needed. I am able to get about 3 coils per toe with that size cable. You can cut them for multiple shorter storage if desired.

Remember those 50' Yellow snakes with all the Twists and Knots that use to cover the shop floor? Or better yet. How about those plastic rollup things that required one hand to hold the thing down. one hand to untwist and untie the knots, one hand to turn the plastic handle. That means it takes two people or a Three armed man. Gecko's Toes turn that whole thing into a onr handed operation. I also use a couple on the boat to store docking lines.

Wow, I love this thing!! Such a timesaver from the old way of just looping it around my forearm! I have two 100' heavy duty outdoor electric cords and I can loop the cord three times onto each "toe" so that the entire 200' fits! I screwed it right onto a 2x4 shelf support by the opening of my garage so it's always ready to be used. Wonderful, absolutely ingenious product. Definitely highly recommended!!!!
