The multimeter part of this device has limitations on how much capacitance you can measure. Other then that I am very happy with this device and it meets the requirements for the testing I needed it to do.
great for the price

got it on time and works well, For the price you could not do better. the 10x probe could be better. but I seen expensive probes have the same issues, except you can adjust them. but all in all you could not ask for more for the price. I am happy. the usb and computer control worked great.
Great product. Works well and comes with everything you need.

This is a great little Oscilloscope! This has lots of features and functions built into a nice little portable unit. Definitely worth the money if you are not in need of a stationary, expensive oscilloscope.
Portable and awesome.

This thing is awesome. I dont do much with electronics anymore. I have a old CRT style scope I got a way back for more than what I paid for this, and this does much more and is portable. Screen is a bit small, buttons are on the cheap side, but it works, and it works well. Glad i got it.
Talented Modest Cost DSO

I have only been playing with the HDS1021M for a week so these comments are really first impressions. I have used high end Tektronix scopes for 25+ years and can honestly say, this little handheld device is amazing. It does what it is advertised to do and then some. I bought it to do some vibration analysis (it had to be portable) and because it seemed like an interesting gadget. I was concerned about its quality and possible software glitches mentioned in other reviews, but haven't experienced anything that was insurmountable. No doubt, the manual is really poorly written and in some cases makes no sense. This is especially true about the PC interface and software description. I used software from Owon's website, but there is a useful chm file on the disk that explains how to load the USB driver (I use Win 7 professional, 64 bit). I could not transfer data to my PC (only bitmap images) until I stumbled on an option in the "Display Set" Menu titled "Carry". This has to be set to vector. I also learned that Cymometer is a Chinese term for frequency meter!
I was happy to find that the software will automatically compute the FFT of the transferred data and can use any of four standard windows when computing it. This is not a great signal analysis package, but does allow transfer of the data to an Excel spreadsheet. I'm puzzled by the "High Memory Depth" option for transferring data. It doesn't seem to do anything and I have not found an explanation. Unless it suffers a premature failure, I am very satisfied.
Pros - low cost, compact, light weight, versatile 20 MHz DSO/DMM with a usable PC software package.
Cons - Poor manual, Non intuitive GUI, really short USB to PC cable.
