After almost 60 years using 'scopes of one kind or another, this 'scope works differently.

After almost 60 years using 'scopes of one kind or another, this 'scope works differently, because it has no knobs and no buttons. It uses fingers and styluses to center, change: V gain, horizontal time base and every other setting and adjustment. I love it and other than the very slight digital noise on the vertical display, more prominent on channel two than channel one I find no fault. When setup it measures and displays all values of any repetitive signal. (I use 'scopes to measure DC values) I can only recommend this portable to anyone for portable work or on the table/bench right behind the equipment being worked on. Ron W4BIN
I'm old school, needed a new 'scope. Found out they don't make analog scopes any more ......

I constantly harass the guys at work who use digital scopes, all the times they can't figure out what they're looking at. And I have to tell them what they see is just the digital scope trying to fake a signal from data. Bad triggering, quantization error, aliasing, holding a signal instead of displaying current data that it couldn't trigger on, there's no end to it. Throw it on my analog scope, the signal literally writes itself on the front of the CRT.

What's more, I'm one of those fogeys who grew up on vacuum tubes and dial phones and the software that runs digital stuff like smartphones just bewilders and frustrates me. Which is kinda funny, because I understand the guts of computers and write PIC assembly code that's not only bug-free, it's so well documented that other engineers can work with it and even convert the whole product to C code.

But now I'm setting up a new workbench at home, out of my own pocket. And find out I can't buy an analog scope. They don't make 'em any more. Dreaded fighting with a digital 'scope. And on a budget, it was gonna have to be something with a touchscreen. Designed for people who grew up with cellphones and it's their "normal".

Well, at least this one got fairly good reviews, and looked like it delivered good value in its price range. Would i ever actually get it to display a waveform?

i figured the thing out pretty quick without help from anyone. The user interface is incredibly well thought out. A masterpiece of elegant simplicity. Where's all the fiddles for getting it to trigger on the signal? Oh, It finds the signal and triggers on it automatically. As well as I'd be able to if I had to fight with it manually. Works beautifully.

Complaints? Signals look noisy because of quantization errors (in fact, it's a good tool for explaining quantization noise to someone who doesn't understand the concept). But the manufacturer even has a "fix" for that: press the "button" and it holds the signal. Now it looks clean, it's not shimmering. ...... And, the scope probes are cheap. But good probes cost money, shouldn't expect good quality probes on an instrument in this price range. They work, they're usable. Good enough.

Never thought I could love a digital "gadget". But I really love this little 'scope.
Wow! Perfect!

Can't believe how good this is. Touch is very responsive, controls are intuitive - there aren't even any typos. The instruction manual is short but clearly shows/explains every function. I didn't even realize this was battery operated"¦ but this has an internal rechargeable battery! Can also just be used plugged in to USB C. The probes that came with it are great. This is a very good deal.
Pretty impressive, but not enough sensitivity for my needs.

I was impressed with this device. When I last used a 'scope, it was decades ago with a Tektronics the size of a toaster oven. This little thing does a lot, but I need more sensitivity to see the output of guitar pickups. There are more sensitive models from this manufacturer. I will probably buy the more sensitive model when the need arrises.
I like it

Ok I'm not a professional. I'm a happy home owner who needed a scope and didn't want to pay over $300. I don't remember a lot about using a scope be it came back enough to work it out. Touch screen is easy to use. I like the features. Really clear screen. At first glance I was worried that I bought a toy scope but the more I played with it the more I liked it. No, it's not a scope that you can turn all the knobs. Adjusting is done automatically. You want to turn knobs buy a different scope. It helped me troubleshoot and revealed the issue. Had an induction burner I wanted to run off an inverter and batteries. The burner won't work off a modified wave inverter(didn't think it would)so I switched to my full wave inverter. No joy and I get some smoke out off the GFIC. I narrowed it down to a bad inverter and when the company heard of my discovery (over 220Hz output with the burner plugged in) the company called it a warranty job to repair or replace the inverter, yahoo. The scope save me time snd bucks. Down side, yes channel 1 is a bit fuzzy with noise, channel 2 is clear. I tried to calibrate the probes but only one set was tight and straight. I figure it was lower quality probes but for my use it was fine. I might invest in better probes. Being it's battery driven I don't think I have to worry about isolation. The photos show clean modified and full wave inverters. Also the ugly waves induced by the the induction burner. I've always wanted a scope for my little projects but rarely ever need one. It work for my purposes and I save my $600 plus inverter. I'll report back if I have any issues with the scope or if my issues persist.
