This is not a new product!
I just received it today and after I unpacked it, I was surprised to find that the dehydrator was used before. Plastic trays inside were dirty, there were crumbles inside the unit, door hinges were also dirty. Good work Amazon, this is a new low, selling used dirty equipment as new, congratulations.

This is my second of the same model called Sedona. The first one died and I couldn't get Tribest to talk to me. I shouldn't have but I bought another and the same thing is happening only a month after getting it. These are expensive machines and I am done with Tribest. I'm getting an EXCALIBUR as soon as I can save up enough to buy one.
Lower temperature works, warranty process is expensive and total fail

Item dehydrates many thing well. However, after owning it 4 years, we decided to try beef jerky. We discovered that the device would not heat above 118 so we used the warranty. Unfortunately, they require that we pay to ship back ($77), and they returned the device "repaired", but it would not heat above 140 degrees. Product specifies up to 155 degrees, which is suitable for jerky. Several calls to warranty to request they fix it to heat to 155, we are told that the unit cannot achieve that temperature because it is labeled a "raw food" dehydrator. Not sure how that fits into the equation because I need my raw beef to heat to 155 to be safe. So, they sell it as having a high temperature of 155 +- 3 degrees, but we cannot heat foods above 140 degrees, and the company will not stand behind the product specs, and I'm out an additional $77 for the shipping for the "repair". I highly recommend purchasing another brand if you want to have any confidence that the company will honor the specifications for warranty for the device.
well worth the money

If you have a garden and want to preserve your food, you can't beat this appliance. It is a workhorse and runs on very little electricity and doesn't heat up your kitchen. The digital control is very very nice...and I love the double fans so you can only run the top 4 trays if you don't have enough to run the entire 9 trays.
Not a good return on investment

I received my Sedona dehydrator on Jan 28, 2014. I have been using it faithfully every week to make a variety of items (flax crackers being our favorite). Last night, right in the middle of making some kale chips, the unit died. Like another reviewer, I did not submit my warranty card within 10 days, nor did I save the box (really - save that big box forever???). I tried calling the service center number for Tribest today (during normal working hours) and got no answer, no voicemail, nothing. I am not feeling optimistic about my chances of getting a replacement unit, but would hope that someone from Tribest reads this and contacts me.
I really liked the product while it was working, but based on my calculations, the Sedona cost me $27.00 per week for 14 weeks of ownership.
