This is mostly great, and helps my hand/wrist/arm pain significantly, but the hole for the thumb digs in at the base of my thumb so much that the impression is still visible literally hours later and is quite painful - it's actually painful enough that I knocked off two stars. I've been using the Futuro wrist braces for about ten years now (following my doctor's recommendation for myofascial pain), and while they do generally help with the pain, etc. more than other brands I have tried, the too small thumb hole has been a consistent problem.

I have carpal tunnel and over the past week it flared so badly, I had to take a day off of work to rest my hands. The left side was so weak, I could barely grab a manila folder. Due to overwhelming frustration, I went to a local store and purchased this brace for the left side. After 2 days of daily use, I regained some strength to hand and tapered it's use thereafter. I have now purchased the right (side) and hoping for same result. If you experience the same type of weakness, this is a product worth trying.

April 7, 2017 Update:

After a comment was left by 3M, I decided to contact them. They are sending me a replacement, along with a prepaid envelope to return the one I had already. I will update this post at some point in the future, but since I'm currently no longer wearing a day brace, it may be a while. However, based on the customer service response, I am upgrading my review to 3 stars. However, please read the original review since I - at the current time - have to stand by it until I can test the replacement at some point down the road.

I can't in good conscience give this product more than 2 stars. It's fairly comfortable (as comfortable as can be expected) but I've had mine for 10 days and it's already falling apart. That is insane, and very disappointed. By contrast, the night brace by Futuro is holding up much better.

This brace does help keep your wrist in a neutral position, and that's great. I just already can tell that if I am in this longer than the two weeks initially prescribed (which looks likely), I'll have to replace it! Already! There are threads hanging off of it, the thumb hole has stretched out a ridiculous amount (which makes it gap and it's uncomfortable).

If this were made well, it would've been a 5 star review. It isn't super restrictive, which is important in a day brace. But with the falling apart after 10 days factor, I just can't give it above 2 stars. So disappointed.

These supports are excellent for carpal tunnel and other troublesome conditions affecting the wrist, hand, and fingers. They are not sufficiently durable, however. They wear out before your carpal tunnel symptoms do. The velcro shreds the surfaces where you attach it, the velcro tabs on the end of the three support straps are not sewn on well and fall off within a few weeks. The edges of the neoprene and lycra are not bound or finished, and they deteriorate very quickly. Great option for a temporary condition, OR for a longer-lasting one IF you are happy to replace the supports every 4 to 6 weeks.

Being an online gamer and an office worker my wrists can tend to hurt once in a while. I decided to do some preventative measures for my overall health via stretching and taking breaks; in the times where I'm working in the office I decided that I could use this brace to help with wrist therapy. I bought the small/medium size and it fits my wrists perfectly (I have very small wrists probably up to 2.5 inches across). These supports are supposed to be a little tight and I was able to find the right balance between compressed (good) and constricting (bad). I'm dinging this product by 1 (one) star only because of the price. I feel like I can find an item like this at the drug store or grocery store for the same price. Quality still seems pretty good but after long-time wear I'm sure the velcro will fail. That being said, this product is still very affordable and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a small amount of comfort for their hands and wrists.
