Ugh! These are so very uncomfortable. It's like they chose the cheapest, sharpest and stiff 1/2" elastic banding that dig like a knife into your skin. They fit ok, but find myself trying to stretch them or a little so the elastic band isn't digging into my groin area at my leg. (No fun, I promise.) And I fold the waist band down a notch so it's not leaving red marks on my hips. It's not the sizing, they fit snug and not hanging loose. I think of they covered the hard sharp banding with material these could be worth the money.

I ended up throwing these to the back of the drawer as "back ups" and bought the Amazon Basic 6 packs that are far and away more comfortable. Needless to say, but I will anyway... Amazon brand elastic are hardly even noticeable.

I'll go commando before buying another package of these scratchy panties.

I ordered these some days ago and got them really fast well packaged everything well until I tried them on. They were a lot smaller than I expected I am normally a size 7 on underwear so I was surprised to see they didn't fit me, given that the rest of my underwear does fit me well and is also a size 7 I have reviewed these as running small because they were super tight particularly at the leg areas and we all know that can be very uncomfortable after walking for a few hours. I had to reorder :s and did not get a refund or anything because I already opened them so I don't think there's any way for me to get it either.

These are NOT the Hanes underwear I know. I've worn Hanes cotton hipsters most of my adult life. I usually wore a size 5 then 6. They've always fit my body type perfectly & were very comfortable. Over the past few years, after a severe neck injury with the accompanying more sedentary life, I've gained weight (bummer). So in need of new, well fitting underwear, & unable to go out to shop anymore, I ordered a pack of size 7. A size larger than usual, so i figured they'd fit. They arrived, they looked plenty big enough, so I washed them, thinking I now had new comfortable underwear. Imagine my disappointment when I put on my new panties to discover they were too tight. I couldn't believe it! I didn't think I'd gained enough weight to go up 2 underwear sizes! Holy smokes! That's impossible! But the panties don't lie, right?! So after a while of trying to accept my weight increasing by 2 sizes, I ordered a pack of size 8. Again, they arrived, looked plenty big enough, I washed them, put on a pair, and again! Too tight!! It was the elastic around the low waist or hip that was too tight, in both cases. The fabric on the size eight was too loose & the elastic was still too tight. Not comfortable! Very disappointing.
Not yet ready to totally give up on the brand of underwear I've worn for over 30 years, I decided the true test would be to purchase Hanes from another retailer, to see if the fit would be the same or different. I ordered a pack of size 7 Hanes cotton hipsters (just like I originally ordered from Amazon), but this time I ordered them from Target. Lo & behold! They fit perfectly! Now why would this be?? The exact same item ordered from two different stores, and the fit was not the same. Why would these underwear be cut differently? They were all in the official Hanes packaging. Does Hanes send Amazon their seconds? Or was Amazon unlucky enough to get products from Hanes' worst production plant? I don't know, but it doesn't make me happy. I'll never order Hanes from Amazon again, & that doesn't make me happy either. I wasted money, which also doesn't make me happy. Consumers need to know that when they order a specific brand in a specific size, that's what they'll receive, no matter where they order it from. Does this happen with other brands? Guess it could, depending on several factors. But it shouldn't. Sizing should be uniform within a brand. Sigh. I have to start looking for a new brand of underwear, darn it. Obviously, I do NOT recommend this product!

Don't buy these underwear, the fit is weird. The waistband and leg holes fit like a size 7 and I ordered an 8. I feel like if I ordered a 9 the butt would be saggy but the waist and legs would fit. Honestly, the butt and front fabric are a little saggy already, so it's even weirder that the elastic is so tight. I suspect it'll stretch out after a few wears. I wear a size 12 in pants and I'm losing weight so I'm almost a 10. If you are determined to buy the underwear, i would say order a size up or two.

This is not the quality I'm used to either. I'm probably switching to Fruit of the Loom after this set. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one, is because I will probably end up wearing the underwear when I have no others left.

I've liked this brand of underwear, this is why I purchased them, the difference of how this product was made years ago to now is that the elastic band that goes around the waist is uncomfortable and tighter, also the cotton isn't as soft as it used to be. I've heard that the manufacturer of Hanes has dropped their quility in product, I agree. I have tried several different underwear styles from Hanes and have returned them all, I did decide to keep this style in hopes that the fabric and elastic will soften and loosen within time.
