I bought this for my son since he's in dire need of it. My girlfriend and I had it built right around the 2 hour mark. Not bad considering how much comes with it. While we stood back and admired our handiwork, 2 mutual factors came up that really grind my gears...
1) The instructions are pitiful at best.
2) I knocked 2 stars off just for the massive @#$%ing sticker around the top bunk headrest!! Removing a paper sticker with super adhesive on the back of it is a nightmare come true..especially when it's as big around as my forearm. This issue alone would've broken the deal with me on the spot had I known. A simple vinyl cling would've sufficed, but that would just be too easy, right? It's unnecessary considering that if your going to buy it, common sense will tell you the possible dangers of kids being on bunk beds. Building this monstrosity was enough, so having to devote even more time to removing this atrocity steamed me hardcore. Pay attention here, Dorel. (!!)
Aesthetically, it's pleasing to the eye and the workmanship on the materials is unprecedented. My boy seems to enjoy it and it does support him well, so it's

You never know what to expect when ordering furniture from the internet. You can't feel it, or look at it in the showroom, so it's always a bit of a gamble. I'm happy to say that the gamble paid off in this case.
The bed came in a big, heavy box. I was able to carry it myself up the stairs to my daughter's bedroom, but just barely. If I had been smart I would have got some help carrying it. Everything was expertly packed; it would be really hard to damage the components in shipping. The enclosed instructions were clear, and the package of nuts and bolts were clearly labelled. In spite of the good instructions, construction is time-consuming. There are some laborious steps, and it took over 2 hours to complete, working by myself.
I was impressed with the quality of the material and the final look. My kids are thrilled to have this in their room.
I took of one star because the experience wasn't perfect. The bed was slightly "not square" as I neared the end, which means getting the last few nuts and bolts in place was an exercise in contorting myself to push and cajole the metal into place so the holes lined up, and then shoving the screw in there and hoping I could tighten it before I had to let go out of exhaustion. Once the entire bed was together, it look and worked fine. It was just that initial build.

This bed was easy to assemble and attractive. A month later it squeaks so badly that no one in my house can sleep. It is annoying even if we are on a different level of our house. We have to buy new beds because one of our sons is sleeping in our bed due to the noise.

Really nice bed. This was super easy to put together. I think it took me around 35minutes. Its very sturdy and looks nice. Having a full on the bottom is really a welcome addition. Only negative is that the ladder on the sides hurt your feet when trying to climb up. I solved this by taking some a/c insulations and wrapping the bars.
