Cheap feel

Great chair. Thank god I don't need it anymore and will be selling it.

The wheelchair that I received was in horrible condition. Many of its pieces had cracks or were completely broken off. The metal parts also had rust and the wheels were dirty. This product was not advertised as used but this wheelchair clearly was and I am very disappointed since I really needed this product.

Very good wheelchair, especially for short-term use. The only major issue is the leg rests are not adjustable (can't raise the leg straight), but you can buy fully adjustable leg rests separately (for about the cost of the entire wheelchair!). The wheelchair is sturdy enough - the person sitting in it weighs approximately 210 pounds, and despite some heavy daily use over the past 2 months (including a two-week trip to Hawaii), the wheelchair held up very well. If you are tall, it may not be as comfortable since the leg rests can't extend. Minimal assembly was required (attach the wheels, attach the foot rests, & off you go) - check the seat back pocket for instructions! No tools were required, either. Sure, the cushion could be a little thicker & more comfortable, but pillows are $4 at your local Wal-Mart. Very happy with this purchase, and we certainly got our money's worth out of it. Perfect for short-term use, and much cheaper than our insurance co-pay would have been to "borrow" one from the hospital.

My son made this purchase for me on his account to take advantage of his Prime shipping, which is why it does not show as a verified purchase. The price when purchased was 133.00, with prime 2 day, an incredible bargain.

This replaces a $700.00 Invacare that was purchased 20 years ago. I am not sure the Carex will last as long, but at 133 you could buy 5 or 6 of them, and $700.00 was worth a lot more 20 years ago than today.

The next day Amazon had it listed for 197.84, still a fair price for a brand new chair with all these features.

The product arrived, exactly as pictured. It didn't take more than 5 minutes to attach the wheels, they snap lock in place. The chair is reasonably well built, conveniently folds.

It has a handy little pouch on the back of the seat pad.

The arms swing back, allowing access to any height table.

The legs attach and detach.

The handlebars swing back and down for easy transport.

The handlebars are also at the perfect height for an adult pushing. I am about 5'9". My big complaint with the Invacare is I had to lean over to push the thing all the time, the bars were too low.

I know another common question is weight. The chair without the legs attached is 24 pounds, as light as some very expensive lightweight brands, but about 4 pounds heavier than the old Invacare. At about $125.00 dollar savings per pound it is something most people can live with.
