Highly recommend!

This is a great game to help with phonics and reading and spelling also. My 4 year old spells and writes her name independently and can identify all the letters and their sounds as well as write them. I wanted an educational game that would help her further her skills and actually begin learning to spell more words. Within days of playing this, that is what happened!
My child loves it!

This is a really good Pre-K program for the LeapPad. My daughter loves it, and plays it often. If you connect the leappad and use yiour computer, you can also nudge the lessons to be a little harder if you want them to be, with either LeapSchool cartridge (math or reading). I recommend this for a 3 or 4 year old!

I bought this for my almost 4 year old but my 7 year old took it over. He spent an hour going through it even though he knows how to read and is reading Harry Potter books already. I am just hoping my younger son gets into it, and I think he will on our next trip when there are less other distractions.
My son loves it

My son is obsessed with video games and I usually can not stand them. But I can never complain when he wants to play his LeapPad because he learns so much! when he started playing he barely recognized any letters but now he is reading very well. I don't believe you should rely solely on tech to teach your kids but in such a techno-centric society sometimes a child can learn with supplements like Leap games.

I bought this game for my 5 year old granddaughter to help her increase her phonics skills. She enjoys playing the game so that's half the battle. The directions are clear and, with practice, easy to follow.
