It broke after 2 months of use and I don't have lake have lake front property

I bought this starter for my jetski thinking I would save some money. The pinion gear snapped off after 2 months of not so much use and I was unable to get a refund because the seller said my engine kicked back and snapped the pinion gear off of it. Well let met say this the ignition system on my jetski is stock so it is the same as all of the rest jet skis as far as kick back goes. This part should have been made to work with a stock engine with a stock ignition system. Later on I did get a refund through amazon. :)
Comparing this starter with the new Qualty one I got was huge......
First this starter would only crank the engine only if I had the battery fully charged or still had the charger connected.
The new starter i got was way better and will crank my engine with a lower non ideal charge on my battery; same battery as above.
The new starter hasn't broken.
