OK, I wanted a really large bowl so I was happy to see others say that this bowl was big. I was short on time so I didn't get out the measuring tape, and just sort of visualized how big it might be. WRONG! This thing is GIGANTIC! Like "take up your entire stove top or oven to store it" big. Like "make the biggest circle possible with your arms,and it's still bigger than that" big. Like if it was full of food, it would take your teenage son to carry it. It is mind boggling size, okay? Seriously, unless you're the Duggars or a commercial restaurant/baker, this bowl is probably way bigger than you need for food prep. The quality of the item seems very high.

Looking for a LARGE stainless mixing bowl for kitchen work I settled on one of these and found it from one of the Amazon vendors for less than $25. I wanted something heavy enough to be durable. At the same time I ordered another brand from another vendor that was claimed to be "heavy duty, commercial..." When they came in I was very impressed with this one and very disappointed with the "commercial $75" bowl. Weighing them on the kitchen scales this bowl was actually heavier, smoother, and easier to clean!

Several of my friends cook for volunteer organizations or other large groups of people. At $25 bucks I thought they all should have one. I think I ordered 8 bowls and gave them out as gifts. EVERYONE loved them. They are a great deal and handy for everything from baking bread to making sausage or a huge salad.

If you read all these reviews, just know that all the good things people said about this bowl are true. So useful. So sturdy. And it's stainless!

Ok, so everyone said, "It's huge!" I'll just repeat it, it's huge. There is no getting around it, they thing is massive. I put it on my stove top and it covered the entire stovetop and the top shadowed over the counters. It is HUGE. I moved it from one countertop to another for quite some time trying to figure out where to store it because there really is no place to keep it. If you have a use for something that you consistently make and are consistently saying, "I sure wish I had a bowl that could hold 4 bags with of groceries (it does)." then this is the bowl for you. If you are saying that every couple of years for the one recipe that you occasionally make but don't because you claim it's because of a lack of a bowl, then you might want to reconsider a smaller large bowl.

The shipping was pretty awful. It was sent in a bag. One of those silver bags and that was it. I would have expected a box to keep it from getting dinged up, which it was. There's a small ding on the one side. It's not a big deal, it's just annoying, what do they think is going to happen when they send something completely unprotected? It also has some spots that aren't as shiny as others. Could it be from rubbing during the shipping? I'm not sure. Again, not a big deal, just kind of annoying that had it been shipped better it may not have happened. Another annoyance that just needs to be dealt with is cleaning. It's a huge pain to clean. I only use it to make non-meat products but I imagine it would be much more difficult to clean if there was raw beef or raw chicken in it and attempting to clean it without spilling the dirty water on the floor. I've spilled or dripped while cleaning it multiple times but I only use it to make non-meat products.

Have to wash this in the laundry room sink and store it above the cabinets due to its size, but this is a great, well made mixing bowl. I got it for brining halved Napa cabbage for kimchi and have no worries about not having enough room for batches of a gallon or more finished kimchi. Should be able comfortably fit up to 6 halves of large Napa in the bowl. I used both my biggest bowls previously and barely fit 4 halves, so I'm excited to be able to now make larger batches. It would probably make a nice serving chiller for iced drinks at a large party too. Picture shows 2 extra large heads of Napa cabbage, measuring 11 pounds.
