Does not fit well follow instructions watched you tube videos had it nice and snug sighted at 15M went to the range NOT EVEN ON PAPER at 25 yards. Had to go down to 5 - 10 - 15 and take a few quick shots to do it manually.
It works very well. Be patient and go slow. I should get paid for this review!

Make sure the weapon is UNloaded! Do not shoot with it in the barrel.
Per usual, IF...IF this product had a great set of instructions I think the 5 star rating would be 85%. I found it confusing at first because I have a .458 bore Winchester. I took the largest insert and found to fit well so long as it was not screwed to the laser. What I discovered was that getting it to fit was somewhat counter intuitive. One has to turn the screw such that it is goes almost entirely into the circular insert. Then turn the screw into the laser, try it out, back off or turn more, try again. There is an inclination to attempt to put the insert onto the laser to a full depth...no. There is a sweet spot where the insert is delicately connected to the laser where it is just firm enough to go into the barrel. I was surprised that if the largest one was put all the way on, there was no way I could get the insert end into the barrel due to the expansion. In other words you want to spread the insert such that it fits the bore - not assume that screwing the insert on to the full amount will work.
Then I did a .380 pistol. Same thing. I had to judge the right distance to put the screw into the insert and the laser ....and then back it off so it fit snugly. Each insert has its own screw. Once you put them in, there is no need to change the screw setting. Since I don't shoot the 380 beyond 25-30 feet it was nice to see that the sites line up nicely with the bore laser.
I sent another brand back because I had no clue how any of it went together. There were NO instructions whatsoever. Be patient, take it slow, and work with this thing on a white back ground. If you drop the tiny pieces on a dark rug, you will waste precious time finding them.
After I got it into the barrel I found it was nicely aligned after shooting the laser across the room. Of course, such a check is invalid and needs to be done at the range. It also does not take into account the trajectory of a bullet.
This is a great product and is much more expensive at other sites. Be gentle with it. READ the directions first. DO NOT LOOK AT THE LASER UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO BLIND. Not a toy for unsupervised K-12.

The Laserlyte (actual laser) worked fine after I replaced the dead batteries that came in it. Very bright... I like the aluminum housing. The roll switch has to be removed to shut down the laser. The screws should arrive already seated in the "bore stoppers". The bore sighter proper is a little too long for my 3.1 inch barrel handgun. I believe that it will work fine with a longer barrel and with rifles... I believe I can make it work for my needs...
Love it

Great product. I have bore sighted a 22 caliber handgun and rifle, an AR15, .TC Compass .308, Glock 21 .45 acp, S&W 9mm pistol among other weapons. Easy to get on paper to make fine adjustments after bore sighting.
Great tool for initial sight zeroing

The item is as described. The screws are very tight when installing into the adapters. I've used it on my 5.56mm NATO AR15, 7.65mm Argentine Mauser, and 40 cal Glock 23. It is very easy to use and gets you on the paper quickly.
