Amazon Customer•April 21, 2017
I bought 3 of these last summer and used them from may-november with no problems. I stored them inside for the winter, replaced the batteries and started using them again in early April this year. Based on recommendations in other reviews I installed them after a pressure reducer. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the confusing instructions others have noted - you can only set the watering schedule immediately after installing the battery. You can follow their instructions to change the start time, but you can't change the duration. If you want to change both the start time and duration, you have to remove the battery for a couple of minutes, then reinstall it and then set a new watering schedule. Manually running an extra cycle, or turning it off when it's raining, work as described in the instructions. Simple to use, cheap, and have worked well for me for a year so far.
Lasted about one week

We used this for the first time to water our garden during a two week trip. I set it up the week before to make sure it was working properly. When we got back from the trip, it was obvious that it had stopped working a few days into our trip; most of the plants survived, but clearly hadn't been watered in a few days. I tried changing the battery, but that made no difference; it simply didn't work. And since I hadn't tested it upon receipt m I was outside the return period.

Warning - Bait & Switch! Photo shows 9001EZ but what you receive is a BO92A as it plainly states.. I should have checked my previous model number, but I trusted the photo, and was very disappointed. I kept the timer rather than sending it back, because I had just planted grass seed & needed a timer immediately. The 9001EZ is much simpler to use. You can do a manual watering at any time just buy pushing the button. So easy to set with one dial for duration & one dial for interval. The BOL92A has an "enter" button that you have to push after you set the dials to the cycle you want. I could not find a way to do a manual watering (in between what you've set on the dial) other than setting the dial to manual & then pressing enter. So much simpler on the 9001EZ.
Highly recommend

Love this...all of my plants stayed alive and grew great throughout the entire summer. This is a great item, just be sure to pull the battery out during the winter time when you're not using it so it doesn't corrode, but that is for any item that uses a battery.

I've had several DIG irrigation timers, different models. They work great. I had a problem with one and DIG replaced it.
