Few products amaze me. But this one did

Few products amaze me. But this one did. After trying four other high priced antennas to get better reception in our RV, I was all set to give up and just use the Winguard that came with the RV. We are in the mountains of NC and need to reach the Charlotte towers. Our Winguard was pretty good, but lost a lot of reception during storms over Charlotte and at night. This one did not cost much, so I decided to give it one more try. As I was assembling the antenna, I said "No way is this R2D2 contraption going to work. It looks like some Rube Goldberg contraption." Well, I put it up top and hooked it up. I tuned to a channel the Winguard was having trouble with and switched the cables. WOW. That is all I can say. WOW. I was SO wrong. This antenna is the real deal. Perfect reception rain or shine, night or day. WOW.
This is an awesome antenna, and well worth the money we spent for it !

This antenna really reaches out and picks up the signals ! We were so upset with Comcast always raising the price for our cable, and decided that maybe we could just use an antenna.
We have several local stations; but there are qute a few trees around our house; so we wanted to get one of the antennas that had a better strength than just the smaller and cheaper antennas had.
This one picks up over 32 channels, and some of them are from furthher away, and some are ones that we didn't have before with our cable.
Another great feature is how dependable this anenna is.
We live in the South, and where there are bad thunderstorms, and sometimes , tornadoes.
When the weather got bad was when the television would quit. Now, we have the antenna, and we have never lost the channels on the television unless all of the power goes out and we have no electricity.
There are cheaper antennas that probably would have picked up the local channels, but we are just so pleased with how well this one performs. My husband mounted it up on the roof; but it actually was bringing in the channels just fine when he was standing right here in the house and holding it in his hand to see if it would work.

I think this antenna works well. It is my first antenna since the transition to digital over-the-air so I have no real frame of reference. It does get all of the channels that I want it to and was easy to set up and connect.
I mounted this on my roof in my old DirecTv mount. I used an old clothes hanger rod that barely fit into the antenna base. I then wrapped a lot of duct tape around the mount end to ensure a snug fit. I then drilled a hole through both the mount and the rod and placed a bolt through both. I hope that it will keep it from moving on the axis and from flying out of the mount all together. So far so good. In one heavy wind storm I noticed that the antenna had shifted about 90 degrees from my original point of aim. Thankfully, it was easy to re-aim using the motor in the antenna and I got to remain on the gound. Bonus points for not losing any of the channels despite being pointed the wrong way.
Pros:
Receiving the channels it should
Easy setup
Cons:
It does not feel like it will last more than 4 years on my roof with the flimsiness of the build materials.

Nice antenna. Not sure how long it will last but for the money not really a lot to complain about here. Put it out on the front deck with a small 7 ft pole I already had too give it a test run and was able to pick up 3 extra channels compared to indoor rca antenna with rca amp booster. Now maybe if I can figure out a way to get above the trees here I am sure it would do better. Model WA-2608 by ISO Certified Factory.
Update: 3/1/16 Got it up on the roof last week on a 7 ft pole pulling in 37 stations some are over 100 miles 5 go out when the sun starts coming up. Put the small indoor rca amp on one TV as well help a lot 3 TV's in all. Thinking about getting another rca amp for the other two TVs because I have a splitter there. I dont know maybe I am just in a good area because some reviews were bad.

Nice antenna that pulls in channels as advertised

Mounted this in my attic and was able to pull in all the local channels. Note: height of where the antenna is, and direction it's pointing at, is more important than actual antenna design itself... from what I can experiment.
In any case, I'm satisfied with this purchase. While it is made with outdoor mounting in mind (plastic/aluminum construction, rubber cover for the bottom-mount where the coaxial cable connects) mine is mounted indoors so I have no doubt it will last awhile.
The rotating mechanism takes a little getting used to as there's a slight delay from when you press the button on the remote to when the antenna starts rotating so just watch for that. Also since there's no visual/audio feedback from the power unit, it's best if you can visually see the antenna when you rotate it so you can track its progress.
