Helps reduce banging pipes, but only last a year or two
John Trigger•February 21, 2018
Have used these over the years on LG WM2701HV washer, which has numerous on/off cycling of the water valve during filling for some stupid reason. Each off cycle tends to bang pipes in wall. These work good to minimize it, but they only last a year or two, depending on how many loads you do.

Made in USA... 'nuff said. Stops hammering from washing machine well. No cons that I can think of.
Just what I needed.

Great item. It's just what I needed to keep my pipes from banging loudly when my outside sprinkler timer turns the water off.
Great for Outdoor Sprinklers
Secret Agent•August 6, 2017
I need these for my outdoor sprinklers. My water pressure is higher than their rating, but they still have been working to reduce or even eliminate the water hammer sound when the sprinklers turn off. My wife thought the sprinklers were not working any longer because she hasn't been hearing them. We've been using them for about 2 months now.
The war is over

Just installed 2 on my Whirlpool. It works on both the hot and cold lines. It's blissfully quiet now. Before it sounded like bombs were going off when we washed laundry. It's so quiet I thought something was wrong. I understand they may wear out over time
