Fly with the Eagle
LSandsJuly 19, 2017
Nicely made quality product. Good stitching reinforced with steel rivits. Heavy leather accented with a subtle basket weave. Easily fit my vintage 5.25" Ka-Bar knife which is going to be congratulatory gift for my grandson when he is awarded is Eagle Scout rank in September.
Great Sheath!

Love this sheath! I got two because a couple of sheathes were way to big for some knives of mine and one knife was totally missing a sheath. For the price I really didn't expect something so nice. The leather lends itself to being easily wetformed for the knife its going to sheath. The weave pattern is also fairly deep and looks good, far better than the pictures indicate. Of my knives I've been able to fit a Condor Kephart Knife, a Condor Final Frontier, and an old 1950's - 1960's Schrade Uncle Henry Golden Spike Knife in the sheath and snap the retention strap closed.

The only con, was that the leather was a bit dried out when they arrived so worked a number of coats of leather conditioner into the leather until it wouldn't take in any more. It made the leather supple and should preserve it for years to come. I strongly recommend this sheath to anybody looking for a nice replacement sheath that can fit a number of knives. Even if the retention strap is a little too small, its leather and can be stretched, so don't let that be a deterrent.
For the money, a very nice product.

Ordered for a 5" Gerber Prodigy. Rubbed it down with hair conditioner and wet the handle strap to stretch. Knife fits like a glove, slides in smooth and straps in nicely. For the money , this is nice.
Pretty good sheath

I bought this for a knife of my grandfathers that I have cleaned up. It's original case was shot, and I was looking for an inexpensive sheath that would fit the knife. The case fits up to 1 1/4 in. blade width and mine is one 1 in. so there is a tad of play, but nothing really noticeable. I am a rancher and cowboy so I know good leather when I see it, and this is decent. My suggestion is first thing, soak it in neatsfoot oil, then place your knife in and latch it. Over all I'm happy with it and I would say good bang for your buck.
P.s. wife's account.
Leather extreamly dried out.

Bought this for a Buck Vanguard, and it fits well, but the strap will need to be stretched a little. Two things that I noticed upon arrival are that the basket weave pattern is much deeper and nicer than it appears in the sellers photo. The second is that the leather is extremely dried out. The sheath I received was badly in need of some leather conditioner. Not a big deal at the price I paid, but it will probably soak up 3 applications of neatsfoot oil or more. If you get a dried out sheath, don't ignore it. The leather will degrade quickly without the application of some leather conditioner.

Update: The pic below is after 3 applications of neatsfoot oil and shows the basket weave nicely.
