Decent product, works wonderfully in the snow and ice.

I put them on Carlisle Tru-Power ag tires on my 316 John Deere. My JD does have the rear hydro kit, and the chains clear it just fine. They are a PITA to put onto ag bar tires, but that is to be expected. Putting them on turf tires would be simple. Note that while extra tensioners are a great idea, it isn't necessary (but the chains will be a bit looser), but perhaps on turf tires you may get some slippage.

The chains aren't the greatest in that while trying to tighten with the "long bar" style tightener, the tightener bent a bit. Still perfectly functional, but just the same it bent.

Durability is standard duty at best. The chains I run for my pickup truck are FAR heavier duty, and while I know that is apples to oranges, these are a little on the light side for garden tractor use, but just fine for riding mower + snowblower use. That being said, while they should hold up for anything in the snow, but I am doubtful they would hold up to providing traction to plow the garden, although I could be wrong. I will update if they break while using them in the dirt.

All in all, I would buy again. Good product, shipped Priority mail and arrived quickly. Happy customer.
Good, solid product.

Delivered on time and fit perfectly. Half the price of what Sears wanted for the chains for my Craftsman tractor and much easier to install than the set I bought from them for my previous tractor. They also seem to be better made of a heavier gauge steel. I'd highly recommend them.
Excellent Value and Performance

These chains were a bit tricky to install, as are most chains, but fit nicely and make all of the difference in traction on snow and ice. Not sure whether I needed chain tensioners but, distrusting the rubber bands with the plastic hooks, I picked up some springs at my local Ace Hardware to prevent possible slippage on the tires. The chains fit well enough that this might not have been necessary, but I would rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them. By the way, one of my concerns when shopping for chains was the minimal clearance between the inside edge of the tires and the body of the snow blower. The links on these chains are small enough that there is no problem with clearance, but are still large enough to provide plenty of traction. Need I add that the price is right on these bad boys?
It was a pretty good struggle getting the chains on over the tires ...

I matched the size of tire to the listed chain size chart. It was a pretty good struggle getting the chains on over the tires they were said to be for. I did get them on and they appear to be a close fit. It would be nice if the chains had a few more options (extra links or a different connection option) for tires that may be a bit different in actual size (due to thicker tread maybe?) to make the fitting a little less onerous.
Glad I bought them.

Works great on soft damp hillsides. My yard is hilly and in spring and late fall when the ground doesn't dry well it is a problem to mow without spinning out and sometimes sliding backwards. These chains were easy to install (I placed a wooden block under one tire at a time. Gave me plenty of room to work.) They really didn't tear up the yard as bad as the turf tires spinning did. I think they will work well for a long time.
