Junk.
Mike. P•September 17, 2017
Pure Junk.
Didn't even work when we got it.. We even changed the battery in it.
I've never been impressed with camco products. They sell Camco products in RV repair shops. And they are all junk from what I've seen.
I needed something long enough to light a pilot light in my gas furnace, so I figured I would give it a try..
Don't waste your money.

Works great for my purpose, I recommend it if you can stand the price.

I have been looking for a long fireplace lighter for a long time, and this one is perfect for my needs. I have a gas fireplace I burn wood in, only use gas to light the wood and then turn off the gas. Lighters I have used are too short, and sometimes gas ignites quickly. This is long enough I am far away from any small explosion that occurs. I like the long flame it puts off, much better than cheaper plastic lighter sticks I had. I feel the price is rather high, but if I can use if for a long time, it should be reasonable per year in the long run. I have only used it once, and my remarks at based on initial use. I don't expect any surprises, as it seems to be well made.
Buyer Beware

Bought this item last November for my outdoor fire pit and gas fireplace.
Was working great but this past weekend the wires that create the ignition came out of their place. (see photo)
I simply unfolded the conduit like I always do, except this time it pulled the wires.
Amazon does not honor a return or replacement this far out after purchase.

Goodby to gymnastics to light the water heater
Rozellro•April 11, 2016
I bought this gas lighter after watching the ease with which a technician restarted the pilot light on our water heater. Relighting that water heater is horrendous at least and onerous at best. The unit sits back in a tight corner of the utility room between the furnace and clothes washer and the pilot light is at the far back inside so trying to use the standard lighter is a real strain. This unit is sweet as it has a nice long tip to reach the farthest area. It's also butane refillable. I love it!
This one is great. The flame is huge

Okay. This thing is honking huge. It's a frickin weapon. That's about my only criticism--it's a bit unwieldy. On the plus side, that means extra reach and room for fuel.
I have tried a fair number of these long-neck lighters. Most recently before this one, I tried the Zippo Flex Neck Utility, which so far has been a POS. I am on my second return with them--and they charge you to return it even if it is defective. Ridiculous! Enough about them, though..
This one is great. The flame is huge. I bought this to upgrade my smoker/grill lighting experience, and it has totally delivered. I use a chimney for my grill, and it launches the paper on fire. I use lighter blocks for my smoker, and it lets me easily reach and light them in the firebox drawer. It has two safety switches, and it has a safety light mechanism, so I feel safe having it where my kids might get to it (not that I intentionally leave it out for them ;) ).
Overall, this is a great refillable utility lighter, the best I've found so far. Just keep in mind it is a monster.
