Should have bought this a long time ago

I've been using a miter saw on a workbench, shop floor, tailgate, plywood sheet on sawhorses, etc. for years. I could never get myself to justify the price for one of these DeWalt stands.

Now that I have one I'm kicking myself for not getting one earlier.

The saw bolts to a pair of included, removable mounting brackets, which in turn snap onto the stand. Just about any saw will fit, but you may need to drill an extra hole in each bracket for non DeWalt saws. The instructions cover how to attach the brackets to most modern DeWalt miter saws. My saw is a DW703, which was covered in the mounting instructions.

Once the brackets are on, one person can easily remove or attach the saw (especially a smaller 10" saw like mine) to this stand as needed. There is a metal locking bracket on the stand that one of the brackets fits into. This keeps the saw from being able to move from side to side. It's a nice feature, but the brackets hold well without it. Nothing wrong with a bit of extra stability though.

Legs fold up independently and lock in place. The stand feels very sturdy when set up, and the rubber feet prevent marring finished floor surfaces. The bottom handle works well for carrying the stand with the saw removed. Just make sure the material support struts are locked before packing the stand around.

The material holders also work as length stops. They extend out plenty far for my uses. DeWalt says 10 foot material and that seems about right. If you expect to work with long pieces of material then consider the DEWALT DWX723 Heavy Duty Miter Saw Stand, which handles up to 16 feet. Then again if you don't need built-in material supports, save some coin and get the DEWALT DWX725B Heavy Duty Work Stand with Miter Saw Mounting Brackets

A miter saw with no stand is a bit like a knife without a sheath: more hassle to carry and use than it needs to be. I find myself procrastinating less on certain projects. The same is true for any other brand or even a homemade stand. But if you need a tool stand for your saw I don't think a person could do better than a DeWalt stand.
Fantastic Miter Saw stand, should have bought years ago...comes with quick release attachment.

This Sawhorse for your miter saw is awesome. Very sturdy with easy locking legs and slide out saw horse extenders. Pretty light also for moving around. Good news that nice easy release detachable bottom for mitersaw comes with it, careful because Amazon says that piece that already comes with it is often purchased with this...why would you need two of them? Get this and you won't be disappointed, don't buy a second rapid release clip on, since it comes with the exact one they recommend as an add on...unless you want to pay UPS $7.99 to ship it back.
Great for cutting you short stock 12' and under

This stand works great. If you are cutting boards longer than 12' spend some extra dollars and get the bigger version. I have been cutting 16' dressed lumber (12" wide in some cases) and that's really more than what the compact version can handle. If all you cutting is short stock 12' and under you will be fine with the compact version.
This is an Awesome Saw stand

This is an Awesome Saw stand!!! Very Sturdy and well built! The legs fold easily without pinching your fingers!! I had to mount a craftsman saw on it by attaching the saw onto a 3/4 inch piece of plywood. It was very easy to do and the saw snaps on the stand with no trouble.
The stand also folds up for easy storage and has a carrying handle to move it around while folded!!!
Love It!!!!
Don't leave home without it!

Using this product vs not using a stand is a huge difference. Tremendously convenient, makes using a miter saw a totally different experience. Very sturdy. Highly recommend this product.

I use it in the garage, it helps as you can drag it out of the way if you need to versus mounting it on a more permanent location.
