Great for Vlogging and Everyday Video Capture
Chelzie•May 10, 2015
Who wants to have a camera propped up while video taping long school performances - not me! I use this same handle on a smaller pocket camera, as well as a larger Cannon Rebel T5. In both cases, it works great! For those of you who are into vlogging, this handle is a must have! You can comfortably capture video, and easily hold your camera the traditional way to capture photos.
Works, made in USA, patented!

As good as the more expensive ones and you don't need anything longer because holding it at the end is unstable. It only helps when you use the top of your fist to prevent swaying, so a longer handle serves little stability purpose. Small and unobtrusive and probably unbreakable. There is some surface texturing which makes it grippy without needing foam or rubber.
Just right for smaller cameras, particularly for those with dexterity issues.

This is about as simple as it gets. A plastic handle of moderate length (about one hand or thereabouts high) that has a nice pebbly finish. There's a 1/4-20 tripod screw on the end of the handle. Screw it into your camera (without over-tightening) and you're set to go.
The handle provides stability and secure handling when dealing with very small cameras like the Sony WX-80 or handheld camcorders like the late, lamented Flip, Kodak and Sony models.
It's a little gem for small to just under medium or so cameras. It is inexpensive, appears durable, easy to use and will provided added stability for sharper photos. Excellent addition to your camera kit.

Working great so far, but I'm being careful...

The "Clic Stic Universal Camera Handle for Digital Point and Shoot Cameras and Camcorders" has to be the most extensive title of any of the equipment I've purchased in a while! :D Hey, at least the title is descriptive...
First of all, I purchased this based on price. I'm not sure how rugged it really is, but I figured that if it broke, I wouldn't be out a whole lot of money. I can handle that.
As the title clearly states, this handle is intended for point and shoot cameras or small camcorders. I have no doubt that it's strong enough for that task and will supply the stability that those kind of cameras lack.
However, that's not what I'm using it for...
I own a DSLR shoulder rig for my Canon 5D Mk. II and 60D. The rig has one heavy-duty handle on the front that supports roughly half the weight (the other half, of course, is supported by the shoulder rails.) This design leaves one hand free for focusing the camera or adjusting zoom. Unfortunately, the rig is freaking heavy and can be a bit wobbly if I'm moving around. I attached the Clic Stic to the rails at an angle near the front of the rig to hold when I'm not using my free hand to operate the camera. While the description reads "Designed to firmly hold and stabilize all Digital Cameras and Camcorders", I doubt this is what they had in mind. ;) I don't use the handle to bear much weight... just to give a little lateral support. So far, so good! BUT, I'm not putting that much pressure on it. I wouldn't suggest you try to, either.
If you're actually using this for a small camera, you should be fine, but a little caution never hurt. Wrap the strap around your wrist and avoid carrying the camera around by just the grip. Only use it when actually taking a picture or video.
Hope that helps!

Perfect Size But....

It Broke! I screwed it in, held the assembly up to take a picture and ....Snap! Lucky for me, I have quick reflexes and caught the camera and flash unit before it hit the ground. Imagine $5.95 turning into over $1000 loss. I'd post photos but, I see no link.
