There seems to be some misinformation when it comes to how many rounds of 9mm ammo this box will store. I have dozens of these particular boxes, so let me set the record straight...
These will store NINE 100rd boxes of Winchester White Box (WWB) 9mm ammo (the 100rd boxes where the rounds are loose rather than in a tray) PERFECTLY. 900rd of boxed WWB 9mm 115gr FMJ.
These also store 42 50rd mini-boxes of .22lr as long as they are the cardboard boxes rounds and not plastic boxed. They don't fit perfectly, so expect a little extra space. The pic is of Federal, but CCI's cardboard-packed 22lr is the same size; Aguila's boxes are slightly bigger so may not fit as many. That's 2100rds of 22lr.
Lastly, they will store 27 20rd boxes of American Eagle .223 Rem. That's 540rd, and they'll fit snugly and perfectly. Note that AE 5.56 20rd boxes are slightly larger, so this only applies to AE .223.
Terrific boxes - I just keep buying more!

Great for tool kits

I love these boxes. These are awesome for putting together specialty tool kits. I have roadside assistance, home electrical, boat toolbox, low voltage, and a bunch of other tool kits. The gasket seal is great. It keeps salt water, dust, rain, and moisture out of my tool kits. It's probably great for ammo too, but I've been super happy using them for specialty tool boxes. I put labels on them and they stack securely. I can grab what I need for the project I'm working on. If I leave it in the truck and it rains, no problem because of the weather resistant seal. It's not big enough to put everything in one box, but that would get heavy anyway. I keep finding new uses and have started to use them to organize screws, bolts and nuts in boxes inside. The boxes are easy to label and stack. The price point gives these boxes an advantage over other tool and organizer boxes.
Great value if you get them at add-on prices.

This is one of those boxes that kinda sucks for boxed storage. It's tapered and kind of narrow, so you either have to cram them or buy small form factor ammo packaging. Regular Federal, Remington, or Winchester doesn't stack well in the tapered bottom. Prvi Partizan (PPU) does well, because their boxes of 50 are compact. Get a PA-108 for storing ammo in boxes long-term.
I think the best purpose for this is to dump your loose rounds and take to the range. Some folks living in more humid areas might want to get rid of the packaging that retains moisture, and just store long-term ammo loose, with many packs of desiccant.
I got mine for less than $5, so it's EXCELLENT bang for the buck. I wouldn't recommend them at $13, though. Try the MTM for less than $10 instead.

They worked great and to my surprise are very sturdy

The Plano plastic ammo boxes have many uses other than holding ammo. I took the two I purchaced and bolted them on the rear basket on my four wheeler for extra secure storage space. They worked great and to my surprise are very sturdy. You can allways use extra storage space on the trips to the woods for hunting or fishing. I do use them to store ammo, but also they make a great secure place to store specialty items that need secure and dry protection such as my digital camera and gps units. Handguns etc. The list goes on and on. The latch holds the lid secure and tight and the gasket inside the lip on the lid keeps moisture and water out under the strongest of rainy weather. Great choice for storage. These I bought are the small ones but they do come in a larger size. Very well priced with value in mind. I would highly recommend these boxes to my friends.
Unbeatable ! Great stackable storage option

Perfect option for bulk ammo. Can't beat the price either.
