I bought this fan for Barbie who was having hot flashes but Ken doesn't like it.. Seriously............this is a small fan, didn't understand the dimensions. The total height is probably 6" with stand and the box is 4" inches. I, for some reason thought the blades were four inches each , I inquired about a return and that would have been in the range of $8 .........so I kept the fan , and have gotten $9 dollars worth of laughter from the times I have looked at it blowing on Barbie. It only has one speed and Ken would like a lower setting. I learned RTFD. Read the ....... Dimensions

This is the fan I have been looking for. I have tried other small fans - they rattle, bounce and whir -all trash. This is quiet. It is solidly built. I leave it on all the time. It has small bumpers in key places that prevent vibration and hold it to the desk. You will get some vibration, naturally, and you can hear it - but it is very very low. It does not get hot. It moves air solidly. Going to buy more of these.

This is great for ladies who want to paint their nails at home because you can dry your polish quickly and thoroughly. It's just like the ones you see in many nails salons. It's very compact and stores away without taking up much space. I guess you could also use it at your desk to cool off too.

I am able to turn it on quickly with enough circulating air to immediately cool my face during hot flashes. The cool air does not blow widespread or cover a large area. It does a decent job in immediately vicinity of two feet.
