I had hemorrhoid surgery and this has been a life saver. My husband wanted me to wait, in case the hospital gave me one. Well, being out patient I knew they would not send this home with me. I am so happy I purchased ahead of time. I came home from the hospital and used right away, Works on the commode and also on a shower bench in the shower. I am pleased this was available to have ahead of time in preparation of my surgery.
Flow thru bathing as nature intended. Just like having your own mountain stream, except warmer.

Purchased for my handicapped wife for aid in recovery from hemorrhoid surgery. We used it for the first time tonight using it over a commode so she could have support while transferring. The sitz bath was held up about a half inch by the framing for the commode bucket holder, which was not removable, but required awareness that the "seat" on the toilet would sink a bit when she sat on it, It was not awkward or discomforting, just a bit different. Since everything in the handicapped world is difficult, no problem for us. We used a small amount of Epsom salts and stayed a bit longer to allow more flow through the bath for better cleansing and site relief. She cannot stand unassisted, so we skipped any extra flushing with the spray bottle purchased separately, and proceeded with drying and dressing. The bath worked well even though probably not as designed.

I used this during my pregnancy and hoping to continue to use it after birth due to hemorrhoid issues. This seemed like a good option at a good price and I have used it almost everyday. It fits our oblong modern toilet seat and never overflows. I also love the pouch and tube that it comes with it. The tube has a water stopper so you can control the water flow when you want more warm water to replace the water in the bowl and this will keep the water in the basin warm for a good 15min or more. I also sometimes just use the pouch while going number 2 during difficult hemorrhoid times (sorry, tmi but it was so helpful). It kept my pain to minimal by having constant warm water and also helped to clean the area. Only thing I might change about this item is the quality of the seat. I'd like to see something a bit more sturdy since I'm starting to see it bend slightly but for now after about 20 uses, it is still going strong (im currently about 160lbs 9 months pregnant, 5ft 4in) I actually catch my 7yr old using this also and he is able to set it up by himself. I don't know why he uses it but as long as he keeps himself busy, I'm happy. I may have to buy another one for him.

I needed to take sitz baths as part of post-surgical care. I needed something that fit securely on the toilet, was easy to clean and was comfortable to sit on for 10-15 minutes at a time. This product fit my standard sized toilet and was quite easy to clean. Since it was hard plastic, it really wasn't that comfy, but it was tolerable (I'm 5'3'' and 140 lbs.). I did not choose to get the kind with tubing because I didn't think I would need that, and I didn't. To use I just filled this with warm water (which stayed warm enough for my needs), placed it on the toilet with the seat up and sat down. Any overflow of water went out the side vents into the toilet when I sat down. Couldn't be easier to use.

I find it hard to get in and out of a bathtub so I take showers. But miss a good soak of nether regions. Just got this today. Did not use the bag and tubing, just put as hot water as could stand with some Epsom salts. Felt like heaven. I am not a small person, 190 pounds but it fit me.
I have the elongated toilet, just lift the seat and put this in the bowl and it fits perfect. I really recommend this. Just don't fill too full and have a pitcher of warm water to add, it should not spill on floor. Didn't for me.
