I coat my boots with mink oil once a year and they look great and my feet stay dry
Colleen•September 5, 2016
Mink oil is THE solution for waterproofing your leather boots. I've been wearing Vasque Sundowners for many years, and this mink oil not only restores the finish & conditions the leather but completely waterproofs the boot as well. I coat my boots with mink oil once a year and they look great and my feet stay dry.
DONT BAKE YOUR BOOTS!!!

TIP!! DONT BAKE YOUR BOOTS!! MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLEAN AND USE A BLOW DRYER TO HEAT THE AREA THEN APPLY , IF YOU SEE COUDY SPOTS LATER , HEAT THEM WITH THE BLOW DRYER AND MELT IT INTO YOUR BOOT!!! LOL!
Very disappointed.

It left white residue on leather which was difficult to remove. This occurred on 2 pair of boots. Not like any mink oil product I have ever used before. There were round pearl-sized beads of wax or other debris in the can. Threw it in the trash. Very disappointed.

It does not taste like mink at all.
Good protectant

Product is as good as I remembered, but it does darken the leather at least 2 shades darker, and does not lighten back up after it sinks in and dries.
