Exactly what I was looking for to compliment my recent rain gear purchase. I'm not a huge fan of wearing hoods due to get limited field of view and reduced hearing they create. I wanted a hat with extended protection so I avoided run off getting inside my jacket. This hat fits bill and will definitely serve my purpose. Liked this better than the other major competitor. Seemed to be better made and better lining. Did have a bit of difficulty with wearing glasses and trying to get it to stay tilted back. For me a ball cap and a hood might be best choice,

We ordered the xl and it fit perfectly. My husband has a large head and usually has a hard time finding hats. I like it so much I'm getting one for myself in a med. the long end is the back. Can't wait to go to Cannon beach and not hVe any issues with the weather.
