You know I bought this and was worried about the setup. I was completely wrong. The setup instructions is extremely easy to read, it came with everything I needed minus the tools of course. It didn't take no longer then 30 minutes to put together as well which is a plus. It holds a lot of items and still look neat and clean. Cleaning is easy to do use a cloth to wipe off once a week to get rid of dust.

Easy to put together. When we opened the box and put everything together (by we, I mean my boyfriend) it was easy and quick. And at the end, there were no chipped pieces and it made our entire entertainment center streamlined. We are able to use one side with the shelf in the middle. On the other side we didn't put the shelf in because I wanted the sub placed in it. We have an older tuner/amp and it fits perfectly width and length, with plenty of air to circulate not just around our turner but also our sub, tv, Wii, Apple TV, Roku, and DVD player. Woo hoo!

Took one point off for missing cam lock fittings. Otherwise, it was easy to assemble and looks good. I ended up ordering cam locks from Amazon overnight because I didn't want to have to call Sonax and wait for days or possibly weeks for the replacement parts.

Open frame, sturdy design, easy to assemble, except for wood screws that mount dome-shaped plastic feet to the bottom board -- I have over-tightened one of six screws, and this resulted in a pit being formed at the place where screw was supposed to bite into the board. A drop of glue was sufficient to fix it, and all damaged area was covered by the foot.
The open frame design makes it easy to install components with large number of cables (such as receiver+amplifier devices), but does not help much with concealing the cables between components. It's possible to adjust the shelves' height, or omit them to accommodate large components and devices with high airflow requirements.
