Really happy to find out that I can now make hotpot at home without having to go to Little Sheep Mongolia myself.

It was good at first but oh my god so salty!!!!!! The meat n noodles of the shabu soaked up all the salt and was inedible.. :( so good though

My wife is mean and doesn't let me have hotpot all year round.
...but when it's cold out ("cold" by San Diego standards which is 68 degrees outside)...I'm allowed all of the of the hotpot I want.
We make what I like to call Mongolian Shabu Shabu (with generally better meat than I can get at the actual restaurant).
