Wonderful Spice Mixture (Togarashi, Shichimi, Nanami) 7 Spice.

When stocking up on this I normally buy it from Mitsuwa Market or 99 Ranch Market (Asian Grocery West Coast), but having moved more rural it's harder to stock up the amount of it I use (I use it as normal pepper, and I'm a heavy pepper user). This bag is basically just a huge jumbo size of what I normally buy. The name Schichimi, Nanami, Togarashi are really, all the same, they mean "7 spice" in both Japanese and Chinese blend. This bag will last me awhile and now I can refill my smaller jars that I normally buy. Great potency, a little less black sesame than normal so I added some extra in to it.
The value is great too as you get a huge bag

I started using this as a topping on many of my Asian dishes as it's really flavorful - instant spicy umami. The value is great too as you get a huge bag, more than you know what to do with, which makes is useful for pouring into a small shaker as long as the holes are big enough to accommodate sesame seeds. I reused a furikake container. Top uses for me are as a rice topping in place of furikake and also as a dry rub on meats. It does have a kick but fairly mild if you have any tolerance for spice. I tried some straight out of the bag when I first received it and it was surprisingly much hotter when tasted on its own. Some peace of mind with it being made in Japan as well.
GREAT VALUE!!!

My brother practically inhales this stuff. He uses one little bottle in a sitting on his ramen and rice. He also puts it on lasagna and potato chips. Each .63 oz bottle costs between $2.79-$2.99 I checked practically EVERY Asian market here on O'ahu for this and couldn't find the bulk bag. I figure he can get well over 25 refills & that'll save him some money, like over $60!!!! Will for sure buy again.
wonderful!

I use to use this sparingly as the little bottles are on the expensive side. Now I pour it on as it is very affordable in this giant bag. I use it on all noodle dishes. Ramen, udon, soba. I even put it on eggs! wonderful!
Delicious and large amount

I tried this more than 10 years ago while traveling in Japan and I liked it. I had it a couple of times on chicken and fish. I even added it to scrambled eggs. It's spicy enough, tangy, and with that umami flavor added by seaweed. This is nanami togarashi, so it has 7 ingredients: ginger, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, sea weed flakes, dried orange peel, chilly flakes, and Japanese peppers
