I am so disappointed. The suit fits well and is slimming, however...I have worn this suit ONLY 4 times in a chlorinated (YMCA) pool and already have holes/shredding in the arm strap. I have worn Speedo since the 1960s and always found its quality reliable; this is why I purchased it. I see from Amazon reviews that other customers have had similar experiences. I am writing Speedo and hope the seller and Speedo can resolve this problem.

It's better to have too much information than not enough because a lot of folks don't read reviews, are upset that their suit does not fit and then give it 2 stars because they didn't research.
First of all, Speedo runs SMALL. I am a size 10 long/12 regular in slacks & a size 10 in "normal" swimwear. I weigh 160lbs and am a 34B. I read several reviews on this product, this brand & other brands. This suit is tight...once I get it past my 41" hips, I am set! :) I bought a black suit. It's very flattering. This is the nicest swimsuit I have ever bought. MSRP is $82. I think I got a good deal. I swim 3-4 times a week, so I need something that will last a good while.

I'm quite literally one of those people who NEVER writes reviews and I shop on Amazon all the time! I'm 5'4" and 165 lbs. 38DD. Measurements: 42/39/42. All my life I absolutely hated bathing suit shopping. I felt uncomfortable with the amount of cleavage I would expose and was constantly afraid I'm going to show my breasts to everyone if I made one wrong move. I purchased size 14 (although I think 12 would have been better) and I'm in love! It's comfortable, conservative, completely covers my breasts and is the most supportive bathing suit I've ever worn! I am not ashamed to go to the local Y with my two toddlers. So excited!

I'm a 35 year old mom of three. I wanted something appropriate to wear on a family vacation, something that I could wear while zipping around on water slides and stuff with the kids, but didn't scream "matron!" I brought three suits with me, and I wore this one every time except once during a full week trip to the beach! First off - it's comfortable. I don't care how cute you look in your suit, if it's riding up or poking you somewhere, you just want to be rid of it. Have no fear with this one! I did it all in this thing - even wore it to a couple of swimsuit-friendly restaurants (with a cover up of course) and it felt fine.
This suit is also obviously made well - I promise I put it through the wringer during my week and it has held up great. No snags, loose threads, and it has kept its shape.
Finally, it looks good. The shirred/ruched front hides minor tummy flab and the whole thing kind of sucks you in. (The only negative is trying to hoist it back up after using the restroom...it takes a minute.) My husband could not stop telling me how good I looked in it! I bought it in black and would highly recommend.

In less than a few minutes (maybe ten minutes) of swimming, straps create skin abrasions in front of and just below armpits. This was mentioned by other reviewers as well. The thread used for weaving may be causing the problem. Apart from this, the swimsuit looks great and seems to fit perfectly. I was very disappointed.
