Have a backup battery available!

This meter boasts a lot of features for the price. However, I bought it in order to log voltage data from a battery charger/discharger setup using a PC, and to issue audible and visual warnings when voltage falls below various thresholds. Therefore, the meter must necessarily be running continuously for long stretches of time. As I was programming the PC and testing the operation of my software, I used up two 9V batteries in just a couple of hours! (And the battery supplied in the box was DOA.) This does not mean that the device is entirely unusable for my application, but I will have to void my warranty by doctoring up the battery holder to accept an external voltage source to replace the battery. The average user, however, should invest in a large stockpile of 9V batteries if he(or she) plans on more than an occasional use of the unit. I cannot believe that the opto-coupler LED uses enough power to account for the rapid battery drain, and I do not see in the operating instructions a way to disable the Bluetooth circuitry (which may also account for significant power usage.) I also evaluated the supplied data logging software while I was at it, and found a small error in the PC display of the temperature. It is off by 0.9 degree Fahrenheit compared to the display on the meter itself and the data output on the RS/232 port.
Good auto ranging multimeter. Very accurate. A little on the large side.

I purchased this multimeter for general use around the house and on my car. I purchased it because of good reviews online. Personally, I've found some good and bad things about it. The meter has most of the functions of similarly devices in the same price range. The auto ranging function is also very convenient and works nearly instantly. However, the feature I like the best is that depending on the setting you choose, the ports will flash and beep telling you if you're in the wrong ports. This is extremely convenient as I don't have to try to figure out which ports I'm supposed to be connected to or wonder if I'm getting correct values.

There are a couple of negatives I've found when using this meter. Firstly, it is extremely large, about 50% larger than most other devices (see photo), so it definitely takes up much more room and makes it less portable. Also, I've found that sometimes the voltage function doesn't read correctly unless I remove and reinsert the probes. I initially thought that I had dead batteries on my hands until I figured out that the reading was just wrong. I've learned to keep an eye out for it so I don't make the mistake again, but it would have been nice if it didn't have that flaw. Other than that though, I haven't really had any issues. The meter works well and is perfectly accurate for everything around the house and in my car.
A decent meter that works well

The bluetooth connectivity works with the android app. The PC data collection feature also works fairly well. In fact, all the features I've tried worked.

CONS: The display is rather dull and not vibrant enough. The auto power-off feature doesn't work consistently so you'll go through batteries if you rely on this. (If the readings are changing it doesn't power-off) Last complaint is the backlight functionality is not very convenient - long press one of the buttons and it stays on for 20 seconds then turns off.

It's a decent meter and works well. I would pick something better if you don't need the bluetooth and/or PC connectivity. If you do need these features it's a great price these capabilities.
Wonderful Multimeter!!!

I rarely ever write reviews but due to my situation, I had to write something to let others know about the product. Since I am an electronics engineering student, I use multimeters extensively. I blew my fuses in my multimeter and they are hard to come by. I needed something quick and didn't want to spend much money on it and figured I would give it a shot because it has great reviews. I have an Amprobe 530 and it costs somewhere near $100. This multimeter so far performs very similarly to the amprobe I have that is 5x the cost. Not to mention the cheaper and more readily available fuse this one uses is a huge benefit in itself. I tested the measurements using an oscilloscope and I was very surprised at how accurate it is. I tested resistance, capacitance, frequencies, voltage (AC and DC), current (AC and DC) and it was all very, very close to where it should've been. It even measures transistor values as well, which I don't even think my amprobe does (not quite sure because I've never needed it yet anyway).

Bottom line: for the cost, this multimeter has greatly exceeded my expectations.

Has some nice features, maybe a little gimmicky but nice, like the light up ports that change based on selection. Does not have a temperature setting which I thought it would, even though it ships with a k-type thermocouple adapter, you would need a table or equation to convert from mV to degC etc. The meter seems to match other meters well at higher voltages and resistances but has a tendency to slowly drift up in the low mV range which is kind of disappointing. Capacitance reads okay but jumps around alot low in the nF range. The auto ranging is also a little quirky, it can take a while to pick a range, manually setting the range if you have an idea can speed things up.

If you are going to get a megger as well and only need voltage and resistange to 1Mohm I would suggest the NEEWER VICHY VC60B+ which I bought at the same time (also dirt cheap) and have been very happy with (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DVFNBPC/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1) I tend to use and trust it more than this meter.
