Just like all Peerless products I have used in the past, these handcuffs are the real deal and work well. The only downside I noticed is that this particular finish requires special cleaning, oiling, and more frequent general maintenance unlike the standard nickel plated ones. They made a great gift and look cool but I would stick to the nickel plated ones whenever possible.
