I bought a box of 100, and I am glad that I did. There seems to be some inconsistency in the quality of the threading in the threaded hole. You absolutely need to thread your bolt into the hole from the backside BEFORE putting it into the hole, then remove the bolt, then put this toggler into the hole as the instructions tell you to, if the threaded hole is usable. This is so that you can make sure that the threads in the hole are smooth. When I first tried to use these, I simply put them in the hole, attempted to thread the bolt in, and the bolt would either cross-thread or bind, or it would simply not start, and the threaded piece of metal would simply spin on the end of the bolt. When this happens, your only option sometimes is to cut the bolt head off, hammer the piece that is still in the wall back into the wall and insert another anchor.

It took me 24 of these to do the first 8 holes due the issues above. Probably 50% of these anchors have screw threads that are not smooth or correct and require the initial bolt insertion that I describe above. Some of these are very difficult to just put a bolt into the hole from the backside. It's probably not just the fault of this company making these anchors, as the bolt manufacturers seem to be much lower quality in their threading than past years, but when you combine the two issues, then the user of these things feels the pain.

This is an excellent product concept, and works great when everything in your project is optimal. If you can't get these to lay flat in the wall before you snap off the plastic extensions, you will have issues threading the bolt into the hole. This can be caused by several things, if the drill bit pushes up any part of what you are drilling through, if there is insulation in the wall (this was a big issue, the insulation can either get under the metal part, not allowing it to lay flat against the inside of the wall, or it can get into the threaded area).

If you have a hollow wall, with nothing in it, these will work great, as long as you can get the metal part flat against the inside wall. It's easy to know when it is flat inside the hole because the two white plastic pieces will be even on the end, but you could still have something flexible in the wall that will angle the metal part once you start tightening the bolts. If you have more than one bolt through a piece of metal, I have found it best to try to tighten them all evenly, alternating as you go, instead of snugging one down ahead of the others.

Togglers have extremely useful and easy to install

The Bulk box of 100 does not include the necessary Screws/ bolts

Did not know this till I was on site and started looking for the bolt bag and thats when I found out they were not included

so Had to make a Trip to the Hardware store

Togglers are Great

If they would make two more larger sizes that would be awesome

Love em
One of the best inventions for the workforce

One of the best inventions for the workforce, I use these for all kinds of things, and they stay in the wall, so if you need to remove the bolt, the toggle stays in place! Most of the Home Depot wanna bees are crappy, I used to only use Hilti, they still remain the best, but these are a close second!
Perfect for mounting a solid point where needed.

Great and very innovative hardware piece here. The only real caveat is that the nylon rods MUST be exactly even of the bolt will not thread in the metal nutsert. We send these to customers for product mounting and I usually send an extra just in case and very rarely do I get any questions on their installation or difficulties.
