very happy with the quaility of this item. Has worked very well for my wife who is almost 2 weeks post-op from her hip replacement. Bonus is it saved me sleep since after a few days she was able to get into and out of bed at night when necessary without my assistance. After the first few nights I'd have paid triple :)
Just what was needed

My wife had a knee replaced and this was worth the cost. At first I could not see how it would help. But it allowed her to do her exercises and move her leg much easier than it would have been with out the tool.
Is it better than a ratchet set, probably not, but it does what my wife and her knee really need, and that makes it a good tool.

This I a great tool, and I'm so glad my physical therapist suggested it until my leg muscles get stronger. This makes it possible to use other exercise equipment, such as my exercise bike. I love my leg-lifter!

Did not work at all for me. Purchased it because of total hip replacement. You will end up hurting your self, promise. If you put the stirrup around your foot you are pulling into your body hard. Not good at all. That automatically happens when trying to lift your leg. That does not work so slide it around calf or ankle. No leverage and you feel like you are lifting 50 pounds and still pulling hard into hip. Plus it slides up and leg gets heavier. Too bad as I needed help to lift my leg up when laying down on couch or bed. It is well made so maybe another application?
Great tool while recovering from knee replacement

I couldn't get in or out of the bed without help when I had my knees replaced ... this was an excellent tool that my physical therapist recommended and helped to make me more independent
