I got this so I could buy higher doses of flea meds and split them for smaller dogs. The giant dog pills don't work well at all, but it's a cool splitter. A blade comes up feom the bottom when you press on it. There's a little storage compartment on the bottom
Useless for small pills

Small pills cannot be split in this device. Sorry I wasted the money but it's not worth the trouble to send it back since it was cheap. Still, I feel cheated.

I have been splitting my pills with a kitchen knife for years, but recently they changed the size of one of my pills and it is so small and not scored. I figured I would give one of these a try and it split it perfectly in half! I am very pleased with this splitter. I also like that the blade is recessed so I don't have to worry about cutting myself and the storage compartment allows me to keep the other half contained without having to dig it back out of the pill bottle.
