Not a great bike but a nice bike
Richard A. Simons✓ Verified Purchase•January 20, 2024
I bought this bike for the soul purpose of running my dog around the block to burn off excess energy. I am 6'3" and 250 pounds. Getting comfortable on this bike is not easy. It is not a fast bike or a long distance bike. Speed reduces somewhat quickly when you stop peddling. I got a longer coast time by inflating the tires to rock hard. If the wheels and frame were 2 inches bigger I would have given it 5 stars. It is a well made bike. The frame seems very strong and has an excellent paint job. The Royal blue is stunning. In the sunlight it looks like it is anodized. Assembly is easy. I recommend you have the tools listed on the box. I found that the hex keys with the ball tip worked best. All you have to do is put on the front wheel, handlebars and seat then start riding. This is a good work out bike. Because the frame is so strong this bike could last a long time if taken care of and could support a motor from 3 horsepower on down.
Great bike, comfortable

Very well made. It's super easy to assemble. The seller, EZCross, is amazing, fast, and has great customer service from the beginning. The bike is a gorgeous black one and my son enjoys it to cruise around rather than using his trick bike. n
Comfortable, well-made, stylish -- and here are some notes to consider

Others have sung this bike's praises, so I won't linger on them: It looks great (especially the orange, of course), rides smoothly, works great. I'll share a few caveats worth noting, though.
Putting it together is simple, assuming you have at least a bit of mechanical aptitude. And I stress "a BIT." You don't need much, but if you're a total klutz you might ask for help. You need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and seat (and pump up the tires... and volume, if you're so inclined).
You'll need some tools to put it together: at least a 14mm socket or box-end wrench, hex wrenches, and a small monkey wrench will be helpful for the pedals. You'll also need grease (not oil) for the seat post and stem.
Instructions are clear. The only issue I had was the chain guard rubbing the chain. The instructions mentioned an adjustment screw, but in reality it was just the metal being slightly bent. Easy to fix.
Peel off the ugly stickers on the front fork while you're at it.
The bike is made of steel, so it's heavier than a modern road bike, but that's by design. It's meant to take more of a beating. It's not crazy heavy by any stretch, mind you -- just don't expect to be carrying it around with one hand for a long time.
The tires are big and wide, but they don't have off-road treads. They're meant for cruising on streets on on the beach -- it's about medium-speed, long-term comfort, not racing. You can go off-road to an extent, but the lack of knobby tires tells you that dirt is OK, mud is iffy.
Worth considering for you folks taller than about 5'7" is a "lay back" seat post that will give you extra room for your legs to pedal. I got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JK9K9KI
It's totally personal preference, of course, but worth noting.
The bike does NOT have mounting screws for a water bottle holder, so this little jobbie does the trick (although you'll want to replace the bracket it comes with): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UQ7P6HE/
Essentially, that adds standard water-bottle mounting holes.
If you have good enough taste to buy the orange model, don't forget the bell: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001SMOYBK
Finally, if you're looking for accessories, read the reviews carefully. I found a LOT that were filled with comments from people who got the products free. To me, that's a warning that you're looking at junk. (I'm looking at you, Colorbasket!)
Bottom line: Beautiful and comfortable and a great deal for the price.

Another Good Bike!

I am a 71 year old male & I have been riding bicycles for many years. I have a Townie 21 speed which I absolutely love & I have put many miles on it. I have a one mile loop dirt road in my neighborhood & I have always wanted a 1 speed or 3 speed bike to ride this loop because I wanted something that would give me a good workout. The 1 mile loop is mostly uphill with about a 15 degree grade. I purchased the Urban Man 3 Speed Beach Cruiser with the intent of eventually being able to complete 10 miles on this 1 mile loop. I thought that this would provide me with a good cardio-vascular workout & provide more of a challenge than my 21 speed Townie, which I still use on longer rides. My Beach Cruiser arrived on schedule & very well packaged. The bike was very easy to put together(its almost all assembled) & I road it the same afternoon. There is a very slight front wheel wobble but I got the wheel trued at my local bike shop for a minimal fee. I have ridden my new Urban Man on the 1 mile loop & now & up to 5 miles & it gives my 71 year old body a great workout! I have also ridden my new Urban Man many miles on mostly level streets & I am very impressed with how smooth & easy the ride is! This is a very well made bike & is priced very reasonably! I would recommend this bike to any serious or leisure bike enthusiast!
Make sure you have all the parts.

I purchased the 3-speed cruiser in orange, and I think this is a great bike. I find the design and coloring pleasing to look at. When I ride it, it seems like other people are looking and appreciate it too. Maybe they just enjoy me enjoying it.
I had a little problem because I ordered the fenders too and came up missing a nut (don't laugh). Firmstrong sent a set of replacement nuts and bolts as soon as they could, so I absolutely recommend the company and commend the service. Assembly is relatively straightforward but might be a challenge if you aren't familiar with the tools you might need. I had to flatten the rear tire to allow the wrench enough room to tighten a fender bolt. The directions indicate removal of the tire might be necessary, but I thought that might lead to a whole bunch of complications considering the gearing. The fenders by themselves are a little delicate and the paint scratched easily. I recommend binding your wrench handles with electrical tape (if they aren't already rubber coated) and using a cloth barrier to protect surfaces near the nuts as you work (if you can).
The ride was a little stiff on the first go on the street. However, I adjusted the air pressure in the tires, and it smoothed out some. I'm currently deciding whether to mess with the seat springs or if it's worth it. I really want to use it on the beach. I think that is where it will be most comfortable.
