1 quiet, 1 louder

I have 2 of these. There's not enough standardization at the factory. They both work perfect but one is quiet & the other is louder so it has to be switched off when i'm nearby it. It ends up being a big hassle cause electronics MUST stay cool & I can't just leave the fan on 24/7 or it will burnout, so I have it on a timer.
It's not that loud, just enough to irritate my ears when in the same room.
The good thing is when the power goes out the timers simply start off where they left off once the power is back on!!!

Nice but comfusing instructions.

What confusing instructions! Thanks goodness I'm married to an engineer. You guys (you reviewers telling the rest of us how simple this is) are kind of wrong. I had no idea what to do with this thing after reading the meager instructions. The husband read the instructions, picked up the timer, played with it for a few minutes and figured out how it works. He said it was like a puzzle. He thinks the instructions weren't written by a native English speaker. Their use of the word segment is confusing. They just don't explain much. Segment refers to the black rings. You must push down a part of the black ring (a 15 minute segment) with a pencil and that means it will stay on 15 minutes. If the black segment is left untouched (up) then it will be off at that time. The time of day must also be set by moving the white inside ring to line up with the arrow. If you unplug it you'll have to reset the time of day. Otherwise, it will just keep repeating what was set until your next power outage.
Great Timer!

This is my second of these timers and I'll most probably buy more... I love them. I use them in my hydroponic greenhouse for turning on lights, fans, blowers, and pumps. I chose this timer because it's basically analog, easy to set and change and after a power outage, all you need to do is just reset the time and not the program. It's also one of the few affordable timers that can turn on and off appliances on a 15min schedule, important if you use flood & drain systems.
Great product with flawless performance!

Great product! I snagged this because I desperately needed a light management option to help me with my indoor garden setup. I would agree that it's not THE most intuitive product, but thanks to other reviewers and the included pamphlet, I had enough to get me started. The black tabs are a bit hard to push down, but despite the usability concerns I actually have had great results with this product. So far in the few months I've owned it, it's performed perfectly and shuts on/off exactly when I've set it to. My garden is doing great and I might pick up another in time.
Easier to plug into when it is in the socket
BitTwiddler✓ Verified Purchase•June 12, 2023
I liked that the outlet plug and the socket to plug in your light are in line so easier to put your light in without certain issues when trying to assemble some setups. You can plug this in to the top outlet of a two outlet wall unit and still be able to use the bottom one if you don't have a fat plug for the second one. This one rode through a power out with no issues other than I had to reset the present time on it afterwards. It is fairly quiet so far, I will update if it changes. If you are using a power strip, this can stick out on the sides and you may lose a plug to plug it in as the top will cover one outlet, but. I can use pressure once IT is plugged in to plug in my cord, without rocking the prongs of the timer OUT of the socket. Also this one is a straight out cord not a from the side cord angle, if that is what you prefer in the situation this one is perfect.
