Yeah this is a dud, doesn't serve a real purpose. Doesn't go on as stated 3 times a day. Lol barely runs 5 minutes before it shuts off. If your depending on this for your hydrophonics system? You will have no luck.

I bought this unit last year and did not get a chance to install it until a few days ago. Save your time and your money. This product does not work. My pump at best randomly works on setting No. 1 only which is at 20% capacity. The pump runs non-stop at setting No. 1 until it drains the batteries, and then it stops. It never recharges the batteries. For the past few days I have been taking the batteries out and recharging them via the electric outlet. Place them back in the unit and the same thing happens again. Even though the pump runs non-stop it just does not have enough power to create a suction for the movement of the water. At first the pump was placed about 5 feet above the water reservoir. It did not work. I moved the unit down to 3 feet above the water. It did not work. I moved it down to 2 feet above the water. The unit started pumping but only for a short time ( I would say about 10 minutes or so on and off). I watched the pump work non-stop but nothing was coming out of the outlet tube. I readjusted the inlet and the outlet tubes. Made sure all connections were tight and secure. The unit was running but there was no movement of water. I left and came back a few hours later just to find the batteries were drained and the water level had not moved at all. I gave it a day to charge the batteries, filled the reservoir and came back in the evening to find the water level was the same. I replaced the batteries with new charged batteries. The unit started making noise again but nothing was coming out of the outlet tube. It was the same story for the next few days. Drained batteries day after day and a bucket full of water. I am very disappointed in the product and the amount of time and money I wasted on it. I am trashing this gizmo.

The concept is excellent. There is nothing else like it on the market. However, the engineering and quality are lacking. My first one quit after one year. I like the concept so much, I ordered another one hoping it had been improved. The second one was returned because it did not pump water at all. The replacement failed as well. I'd be willing to pay more for this product if they put some quality into the engineering and construction.

Pros : Low cost, well constructed and uses standard fittings allowing it to tie into an existing watering system or use alternative heads such as drip.

Cons : Poor documentation. Doesn't include batteries or instructions on how to install them. Hooking up the input and output without air gaps is a little tricky.

So here's he deal. I read the reviews and criticisms, yet I opted to give it a try because I could find no other alternatives that weren't three times the price. A lot of people seemed to have problems with this system. However I suspect some people tried to run it without batteries, since there is nothing in the instruction manual about having to buy and install them. Likewise people have had issues with the pressure, which I attribute to the difficulty in getting a clean connection to the input and output. Once setup properly, which did take some fiddling, this system works VERY well.

I purchased this product and followed the exact instructions. Even watched a video on how to set it up and purchased the recommended rechargeable batteries. This product just does't work! I even returned the prodcuct and a replacement and the second replacement didn't work as well. Thank goodness AMAZON has an awesome return policy and they refunded my money along with shipping costs....YAY AMAZON....BOO watering system.....!!

Bottom line: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.......look for a better product.....

To AMAZON: STOP SELLING THIS PRODUCT....IT DOESN'T work like advertised.....
