Great rack
Scott✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 6, 2024
This rack has all of the features of a more expensive rack. It's sturdy and stable, folds down and has the easy to use rubber straps and resting points. I am very pleased considering the price for this rack.
Good carrier for a great price.

A bit heavy, but very sturdy. Price is right.
Only downside is the fairly large triangular cradles are a bit difficult to get bikes over, especially with control cables strung below the top tube.
Easy to assemble, sturdy and convenient!

This is my first bike rack and I had no idea why some would be good or why some were over $500. I knew I wanted to stay under $125 and I wanted a four bike carrier. I started reading a lot of reviews. This only had two reviews (both good) but $99 for a bike rack that held 4 bikes and lowered for rear hatch access was to good to pass up. So far I love it! I love that it fits my 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver so well love that the bikes don't sway or bounce while I'm driving. I'm so glad I learned about the folding racks while reading reviews it's so convenient and a real must have feature for any suv. I need to voice one complaint however, I think it's too tall for my Subaru Tribeca. While driving the bikes fill up my rear window. Also, putting the bikes up and taking them down for me at 5'4 is really difficult. It's a two person job. If your taller or stronger than me height might not be much of an issue for you. Overall, I'm really happy with this rack and had to give it 5 stars!
Great Bike Rack At A Fair Price

Great bike rack and really well made. Does not sway or move around at all. It holds the bikes very securely and fits everything from BMX, mountain bikes, road bikes and Beach Cruisers. My only small complaint is that it is a bit on the heavy side but at least I know it is strong and well made.
Not bad for the price.

OK, straight up, this is not a Thule or a Yakima, but it's less than half the price of those, so my rating is adjusted up one star for that. Here's the scoop... this rack is designed well enough, it drops down far enough to open your rear hatch with ease, it holds the bikes securely on rubber bumpers with the rubber straps, and has a nylon strap to keep all the bikes from banging around. i've put 3 mountain bikes and a road bike on it; tight fit, but it worked. It can even accommodate drop bar/women's bikes without an adapter bar (at least the two I tried). Small/kids bikes might not work on this rack, but we did get a kids 24" on it.
You'll need your own lock to secure the rack to your hitch. It takes a medium to smallish sized pad lock, nothing special, it just has to go through the hole in the end of the bolt that secures the rack to your hitch.
These are the only real problems with this rack...
-- The lock washer that goes on the bolt that secures the rack to the hitch sucks. Go to a hardware and get a real split/sprung steel lockwasher.
-- The hinge point where the vertical part of the rack meets the part attached to your hitch is too loose. The rack is quite wobbly stock, so go to a real hardware store and get a two or two and a half inch nylon washer. The bigger diameter the better, but of course the hole should match the size of the hinge bolt. Pull the hinge bolt part way out, put the nylon washer in the gap, put your bolt back in and tighten the nut.

For about $2 in parts and a half hour of my time, I made this mediocre bike rack a lot more stable and have full confidence it will serve us well. If you don't want to tweak the rack, well this should probably translate into a two-star review for you. If you are budget minded and don't mind fiddling with it a bit, you'll probably consider it a four-star bargain.
