Nice Boot.

I had to send the first pair back as the sizing was off. All of my other boots are 10 to 10.5 and regular width (D). With this maker, I had to go with a 9 instead. I do not know if this is the norm for their sizing or not. You have been warned. They are comfortable, still, have that fresh leather smell, and are padded completely inside. The padding on the leather portions isn't thick enough that I worry about the padding breaking down and the boot once again becoming loose. This is my first day with them and I have worn them all day so as to break them in. That being said, I am happy thus far.
Very good quality and nice looking boots otherwise

I purchased the medium width 10.5's, a size that fits me perfectly in 95%+ of the shoes I buy. My toe placement was perfect--these boots are sized correctly from toe to heel. But wow, from the heel up through the shaft of the boot--waaaaay too big. Impossible to keep my heel planted in the boot, too much even for an insert or thick socks to help enough. I can pull the fully zipped boot off my foot with almost no effort--slips right off. Just for context, I am a very normally proportioned 5'11, 185 pound man -- not rail thin or anything. Going a half size down won't solve the issue since toe-to-heel length is correct. Very good quality and nice looking boots otherwise, very disappointed I have to return them.
POOR DESIGN. Why
frederick scribner✓ Verified Purchase•December 12, 2017
POOR DESIGN. Why? The shaft on zipper harness boots should be more narrow to hold foot in place. This shaft is so large you can easily put on/off without even using zipper! I mean why even have a zipper? Will return these and use more thoughtful boot maker.
You will be pleased with these.

These are the real deal. They fit well, are comfortable out of the box, and if you keep them looking good by protecting them with polish, you will get compliments. The polish doesn't make them shine, it makes them look rugged rather than beaten. If you are more country gentleman than rancher like I am, rugged works well with Levis or khakis.
They are made from substantial pieces of leather and they are lined. They go on and off easily. They are everything I wanted at a reasonable price. Yes, I am happy with these boots and I recommend them. You can buy a pair without worry.

Sewn harness on right boot came apart just after 30 days...I thought the quality would have been better
