This Apple TV mount was the perfect solution to holding our Apple TV next to our TV after we mounted it on the wall in our kitchen. I wasn't quite sure how were were going to minimize cords/cables until we installed the Apple TV onto this contraption. It worked quite well and allowed us to still have function of the remote with the Apple TV despite it being above the TV and fairly out of view. Now, after we moved the Apple TV and mount into our son's room, I had to add something in between the mount and the TV to keep it level. I suppose the TV in our son's room was a significantly thinner surface. I think I used one of those rectangular erasers and it was perfect!

It works as it says, but isn't great as the TV blocks the signal if you can't get a bounce off the ceiling or a wall... pointing the remote not at the TV/Apple TV works, but it can be finicky.

This is the second one I bought. Both are used to mount on the wall instead of on the back of TVs.
Please note there is raised spacer on the bottom, originally designed for easy clip.

For what this cost it is great. It was fast and easy to install and came with several mounting options. It comes with several size hooks to attach to your TV vents on the back as well as some double sided tape and screws if you want to attach to a wall. My Apple TV fit securely into the mount and is now hidden out of the way behind my TV. My remote works great as long as I aim it between the top of the TV and the ceiling somewhere. The quality of the product as well as the instructions are great. If you want a convenient way to mount a 3rd gen Apple TV then look no further because you've found it!
