AWESOME FOR DUCKS!

Bought this for our ducks who no matter what we use they want to swim in their drinking water which is just gross!
We put this in their duck coop in the evening just to make sure they have drinking water but not swimming water as they have a duck pond but for some reason, they love to make everything dirty, yes they are ducks and that is what they do, but this was a wonderful way to keep their little feet out of their water and also ensures that they do not knock their water bowl over during the evening. We built a little square that it fits into to make sure this stays firm and it works wonderfully!

At first I bought the larger container, same brand, for my dog's water. It was too big as my dog is small and food would fall in the bowl and I'd have to clean the whole thing out. Loved the look and idea so I bought this smaller one and used the larger one for dog food. Unfortunately, when you put water in and turn it over it's quite challenging to NOT have water dump out all over the floor. The bowl ends up being completely full all the time which make is easy to spill. Because of it's small size, half the water goes into the bowl area. Why not just use a regular bowl then? It's not really helpful in the end.
I've had it a month and I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it, but it does the job.

Easier to fill!

Well designed basic dog and cat waterer -- the one I had before had to be filled through a small hole, which meant using a funnel -- no big deal but a bit of a nuisance -- this one fills through a larger opening and then the part with the smaller hole is screwed onto the tank -- so much more convenient. It comes with a water filter too, in case you live where you might need one.
Good quality automatic waterer for cats.

We bought this for use by our foster cats - we foster a lot of cats and kittens for our local Humane Society. This holds about a quart of water, keeps the dish full, and works well. It comes with a synthetic filter, which we discarded when it got dirty. You don't really need the filter (cats will drink toilet water), but you do need to clean the bowl each time you refill the water jug, as the water tends to get a bit slimy. However, if you keep it clean it works great and you don't run out of water overnight like you might with just a bowl of water.
Sturdy, Functional

Bought this to replace watered I had that had a metal drinking bowl and a frosted reservoir. The metal bowl began to bleed through with rust and it wasn the easy to see the water level. This watered is made from heavy plastic do there is no rust and it's easy to clean. The water reservoir is clear so I can see when it needs to be refilled. It's also not very big, which is what I wanted. I have a 25# Corgi and I wanted to refill it more often. The water lasts a good week. At first I didn't use the filter as I buy Spring water, but when I upended it a lot if water would splash all over the place. When I put the filter in the flow was more controllable.
