Works well '14 Jetta Sportwagen S (no sun roof)
RowanR•December 4, 2016
Used these on my '14 Jetta Sportwagen S (no sun roof) worked great, I've used it with a cargo box cross country, Christmas tree you name it. Installation is simple. The system comes with keys and uses a keyed cover to secure the mounting screws. I would consider this secure with the understanding a crowbar can expose the mounting screws. I would purchase them again.

Nice solid product but installation key missing and long delivery time.
Does the job.

A slight bit of whistle at speed, but it they do what they're supposed to do, are adjustable, and they work.
All the value for half the price.

Perfect fit on my 2011 JSW, minimal noise at highway speeds (55+). Turn on the radio or air conditioning and you don't hear a thing. Follow the instructions and they will attach securely. There's another reviewer here who is a bit alarmist about this last point.
Tip: After you've installed these bars, or any roof rack, grab them, and see if you can move the car with them (meaning, wrap your hand around them, and shake the car). Pull in all directions. If they don't come loose, you're PROBABLY okay. There are no guarantees in this world, but that's always been my go to test for load stability on small vehicles.

Integrate with the car and look great on a 2013 VW Jetta Sportswagen TDI with Sunroof

Low profile and minimalistic. Integrate with the car and look great on a 2013 VW Jetta Sportswagen TDI with Sunroof.
Really fast set-up. Works well even with panoramic sun roof as long as they are installed closer to the rear, (align the front bar with the middle of the sunroof). Minor whistling at 30-40mph, not noticeable at higher speeds.
Fast shipping from Amazon after some delays trying to get this product elsewhere.
Definitely would buy again.
