Missouri Chili!

For anyone who grew up in southwest Missouri or thereabouts, this is probably what you grew up eating! It is exactly as it was fifty years ago when we were children. It is a delicious authentic chili powder blend that works with things other than beef, but a good beefy chili is where this stuff shines. If you are a novice cook, just follow the little recipe which is included on the bottle, and you will astound those upon whom you experiment with your cooking. That recipe is just the starting point. If you like it hotter, just keep adding Williams Chili Seasoning until you like the spice level. It is perfect if you like it mild or fiery or anywhere in between. Go ahead and buy this big bottle, because you probably won't like anything else after you eat this.

This product is the same as the Grandmas Spanish Seasoning I grew up with my mother using, and which I used for many years, until this company tood it over. It smells the same, tastes the same and I was thrilled to locate it.

I grew up eating William's Chili seasoning in New Mexico. I have tried other seasoning after moving north and not finding it for sale locally. I finally found it on Amazon, and enjoy it again. Now when I make it, I add diced pimentos and one chopped jalapeno to a Jiffy cornbread mix, (that has the milk and egg already mixed); pour it on top of the hot chili in the stew pot, and bake it for the same time as the mix calls for. Unbeatable!

This added great flavor to my chili without having to worry about MSG and other bothersome additives. My husband doesn't like overly spicy foods, so I was very pleased to find out the Williams Chili Seasoning mix adds just the right amount of spice to make it "chili", but not too much. It made a very nice mild chili with fantastic flavor. I'm looking forward to the next chili cook off we can enter. I believe we have the right spice now to add to our recipe to win.

My wife says I'm obsessed I say it's my passion. Like some guys golf, hunt, fish or what have you. I made my money catering and I cook daily for my family and entertain often. I use the best spices I can find but rarely premixed spices i. e. garlic salt, lemon pepper, Italian spice etc. Chili powder is my exception and all chili powder is not created equal. I've found a couple that work very well and Williams is one. There is a difference between heat and spiceness. Williams has a bold, well rounded, balance. This has great chili flavor. Good price great taste. I'd confidently recommend this mix to any body.
